Im romanian native, sorry to see this , u had badluck with that taxy guy u took , pretty disgusting behaviour . he belongs to the Roma (gypsy) minority here , most of those guys are literally born scammers (thiefs) We usually try to avoid them , as much as we can no racism here ! just facts . If they ever learn how to adapt to a normal , modern society rules and conduit. Then we wont avoid them anymore and disconsider them . Doubt this will ever happen , till then try to avoid them as much as u can. Romanian natives are the big , vast majority here ! its easy to see ho is ho , just from the skin color . Also from what i remember u should have some signs at the airport when they saying something like to avoid taxy drivers there, order uber, or check the ratings before.
