I love figuring out what Gilmore is doing and im often surprised how simple it realy is but powerful enough to break out of the song with his tone and dream like playing i iften find out how to teach myself his stuff because he is pretty much just doing the obvious thing to do each solo has a good story that comes out with every thing he does he is really a master at jamming then adds it to something else he wants to do with his skills he's clearly very much got a lot of things he can rob from im not sire really what kind of style he is hes a bit of everything and but not good at one thing he isvl lucky to have nick mason who tends to be a slow drumer that gives Dave room to float around and tell a story with notes he used to be good at doing it with rhythm like on Animals and I hear mow town disco jazz and the basic rock songs basically a hank marvin meets jimi Hendrix and becomes jeffvbeck i reckon he sounds American on guitar not British same with syd they were fans of the early American Elvis Dylan that is my opinion only great video you nailed that and made it simple to follow along to and can you do the outro ofvthat song live as on some of the recent tours

Honestly can we all just agree that the chick killed him already, honestly who the hell stabs themselves twice in the chest?! Dude got lennon'd. Can anyone get the case file? I would be happy to help with the investigation.

OMG!! You are absolutely killing it with the PF Fridays, Mitch!!! Love how you dig out all the beautiful PF pieces and not just the usual "hits" like everyone else! 💕

Nice Mitch 👍 I think on 2 tours including Gdansk live, David then added another classical guitar outro after the pedal steel slide solo..🎸🔥 If u could do a lesson on one of those added outros, I'd be an immediate subscriber..😊

Thank you for this amazing lesson. I’m practicing it right now. If I may humbly ask you to look at some thing I think there’s a slight mistake in there. At Minute 8.11 7-10-9 then 9-10-7 that 9-10-7 Should be 10 - 9 -7 -the 10 being on the A string. I had to slow it down to see what you were doing. I may be wrong but please check?

My pleasure! Oh great catch! Yes, you are 100% correct. I should’ve said 10 9 7. Looks like I played it correctly afterwards but yes, I explained it incorrectly at 8:11 thank you for finding that and pointing it out.

10:44 Hey Mitch! Great job brother. I’m literally going to creat a Patreon just bc of this song. Do you have the PDF of this in Patreon? Also, the time stamp they I referenced here are you making an error. It’s 2 and then 3 correct, you say 3 and then 2 for the D right at the end of this measure. Lastly, have you ever made How Sweet It Is by James Taylor? It’s my mom’s favorite song and it’s not easy to play so I’d like to also learn it. Thanks Mitch!

Such a sweet little groove. It’s always the simple stuff that’s the most satisfying. Also saw him on the Rattle that lock tour here in the UK, and going to see him again on Oct 12th. Nice one man keep it up 😎

Awesome video, Mitch! Playing along with you and Julian has taught me so much about touch and tempo. How he drags the beat while sustaining the melody line is incredible. Lage must have the lightest touch ever.

Greetings MT, I've only ever communicated with you via Patreon. This video caused me to go on a Julian Lage binge watch. He's a true virtuoso who can play any genre and it was awesome to watch him again for the first time in a few years. Anyway, I'm constantly surprised you don't have more subscribers and views. It's actually incomprehensible to me at this point. One suggestion that may boost your viewership is linking separate performance videos or playing entire songs at the beginning of each song lesson. 3 songs in particular jump out to me - 1) Your recent REM Losing my Religion 2) Lucius Two of us on the Run 3) Sufjan Stevens Casimir Pulanski. Just awesome renditions. Cheers - J Dos

This song is so hard to play! I play guitar in a really good level and it took me at least a week to play decently. Even Elliott had problems himself to play it live. The guy was definitely a genius. Thanks for the class, I appreciate.
