I think this may be what I’m dealing with. The joint pain is horrible. But all my doctor says it is is fibromyalgia. Yes I do have muscle pain and tenderness, but this horrible joint pain in my hands, knees ankles. And the mouth sores, and skin rashes , and my thinning hair, I. Unsteady too been having to use a cane now for 8 months. I’m so tired.

I was diagnosed with UCTD, then we found out I have Common Variable Immunodeficiency. CVID is the elephant in the room that likely caused the autoimmune disorder, but it's so rare, it wasn't on doctors' minds. I responded to hydroxychloroquine, but none of this explained my frequent infections, which led to interstitial lung disease. It's definitely all connected in my case. The first thing I was diagnosed with was MGUS, so I think that's also connected to my faulty b-cells. Edit: I have been on subcutaneous IG for a year now, and it's not helping my UCTD symptoms. So I think it's time to bring this up to my rheumatologist. It's been great having less infections and my connective tissue disease hasn't progressed in this past year. Neither has the ILD. I just wish I didn't have to worry about my mobility. It literally takes an hour or more after waking up every morning to be able to walk, and then, it's two more hours of having to hold onto furniture. I am afraid of falling down the stairs because my knees and ankles hurt so much. I've actually fallen down stairs multiple times because my knees lock up. This is still not much quality of life. But as soon as I got the CVID diagnosis, my specialists always point to that, and that there's nothing else to do. They definitely don't want to suppress my immune system. There has to be something, hopefully.

You were seriously making a video while driving with your kids in the car? Based on this alone I would not want you as my doctor. Think about how this makes you look. My only hope is that you got pulled over and got a ticket for this but I suspect you didn't. Really reprehensible and dangerous behavior.

@BigMantha it actually took two years of the wrong doctor just throwing hydroxychloroquine at it before I couldn’t take that anymore and my vision got the macular degeneration that can happen and she felt that was only medication available to help. Our area is not good for the best Dr.’s so went further away to a specialist two hours away to UK hospital and they have been amazing to find SOURCE of ailments rather than keep throwing meds at symptoms. I hope this helps and finds you well!

Tim: very nice UCTD video. From one rheumatologist to another... you make me nervous doing videos while you drive. We can't have something bad happen to you. Our rheumatologist shortage can't bear to lose a rheumatologist. Keep up the good work (from a still position, please) .... Don Thomas, MD 🙂

Started two month (with only one 5mg tablet a day) ago and into the second month had hypertension, shortness of breath and inflamed bowel (ulcers with extreme infected in large and small intestines). After the first symptoms occurred, I had to stop it and it’s been 2 months I’m coping with the side effects. A horrible medication. Think twice before you decide to take it. Have to say tho that after starting it the positive effects were obvious after the first week (no psoriasis patches on skin, no discoloured nails, hair regrowth). Sadly it didn’t take long until had to stay in bed to recover from terrible side effects. My diagnosis are psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis.

There was stuff missed in the video. 1. take meds out of fridge at least for 30 mins to allow to get to room temp otherwise it will hurt. 2. The side of the auto injector with the needle , You need to have the plastic ring around the needle to be firmly pushed against your skin so all of the circle is firm to the skin otherwise the autoinjector will not release the needle. 3. do not take the cap off needle until you are fully set up (they say not to have the needle cap off for more then 5 minutes) 4. I have done these many times and there should be really no pain unless you do not let it get to room temp , you also want to wipe with wipes before and wash hands . I have had just a bit of blood come out but very little and not always. I have also pulled the needle out a bit to soon and all that happened was liquid came out of where I stuck the needle so you do want to maybe hold the needle in place for like an extra 5 seconds if your ok with it but if you really have trouble doing your shot yourself I get it and I still get a bit nervous Last , it really does help to rotate site but in my case I just switch back from leg to leg and have never done a shot into my arm or stomach.

He said take it out of the fridge 15 minutes prior. In a 70 degree room, 15 minutes is plenty. He said the plastic ring around the needle has to be firmly pushed against the skin. Also showed it in his demo. If you pulled the needle too soon, you must not have waited for the second click.

This doctor Lonesky would never answer you . He is a fraud . I was a pt there unfortunately. I have RA and fibromyalgia. He never once examed me, touched me , listened to my heart or lungs EVER! Even after I told him I had to stop humira as my heart would race, thump so hard I couldn't sleep for 3 to 4 days right after taking it for months. He they just did not care . Lc rheumatology is the worst office to deal with and he the worst doctor I ever went too. Hope this helps others to think before going there or getting these biologic. Oh and he comes off saying hes a Christian man . Trust me when i say its only words and he knows nothing about how to treat people as christ tells us too ! Or his office... i hqve meet others in this town who say the same things about him and his office ... but God will always have the last say .... so i say goodbye and live happy with better medical help now . Thank you God !❤
