Mine does the same noise when cold and after a couple of days not starting it. Only until the oil pump picks up the oil, it lasts a couple of seconds. Great video!

Last year for the Mirage here in 2024. SE trim level models are almost impossible to find. I'd like to get one but it's slim pickings. Cannot decide between the G4 and hatchback. Nice video.

My idea for solar charging my EV is to take advantage of that $5000 federal grant to get grid-tied solar panels installed on the house. Bonus if I program the EVSE to only charge when the sun is out, or the wholesale price of power is very cheap. One wrinkle is that you have to size the [grid-tie] system based on your utility bills from the last year. May need to install electric water heat, heat pump, and daily drive my EV for a year first: just to get the capacity I want.

My Leaf has a factory 12V solar panel. It is essentially a battery tender for the 12V system. Not lost on me the the electrical problems with the car showed up just a few days before the longest night of the year.

I had a car like this in navy blue…..I STILL LOVE THIS CAR….IS THE MOST Confortable, ride i ever had…. I owned jaguar, tesla, ford, vw, Audi…. By FAR….THIS IS THE BEST RIDE….the velvet…was so soft…never had anything like it…not even in LR furniture. I wish i could buy it again…navy blue… omg…it was a dream.

I was set on buying this car but the more I read owener reviews of it the more I'm reluctant to get it. The main concerns that are often quoted by owners are the CVT over heating when accelerating hard or during long drives, especially over hilly terrain, and feeling unsafe on the highway because you're being outgunned by pretty much every other car. And that's without considering the power sapping AC which makes the car even slower. Even some of the video clips KZbin reviewers posted driving the car on the highway show it being passed left and right by other cars! I know this is a commuter car and I wouldn't be getting it for road trips, but a significant portion of my 40 mile daily commute is on the highway and I think this car won't be up to the task for my particular commute, so I'll probably spend a bit more and get something like the Hyundai Venue. I'd only buy this car if all my driving was in the city.

I have been driving this car for a while now and have not noticed any negatives with it, city or highway. Its been trouble free and drives great at highway speeds, it does not have the power to thrust you in your seat, but it gets up to speed more than adequately! Since it has a tiny motor with lower hp figures, the CVT is suited and drives well, I had 2 of these cars 1 manual and this is my 1st CVT, so we will have to see about long term reliability, but its got a great warranty I am not worried. I would buy this car again 100% but its too bad they are discontinued after this year!

No, dealers pay their workers minimum wage for the most part and just push vehicles out the door, so I prefer to not have it done, rather have it done as a half done job! I am on the fence, but I rather have it factory than a tar mess

I bought a 2016 last April for less than 9k$ and I love that little car. I don't go outside of the city that often and for me it's perfect, it's getting colder now and the heater it's the worst part of that car. spring summmer is amazing

I hear ya on the heater part, just eats up battery life, especially in the cold! but other than that, the short commutes I take it works flawless, for one of the first EVs with limited tech, its a great car! I love mine still

They found it kind of cute-a big guy in a tiny car-but it also gave them a good chuckle. I love it so much that, guess what? Recently, some of my coworkers have started looking for the same car; they're actually shopping for it. I realized that when you're truly happy with your belongings, it can influence others and even change their minds. My wife still kindly ''judge'' me on my choice but she's the first one to ask for a ride when she needs to go around the city to save a few $$ on gas. 🙂

Thanks! It is a aftermarket install from the Dealer, Toyota does not make block heaters or mentions them in their owners manual, so you have to get this support from the aftermarket industry, which is a big mistake in my books! should be a factory option or factory install, esp here in Canada!

GREAT cars! I've had my 2010 since, 2020. Upgraded the battery to the 30kWh pack in 2022 for 220 kilometer range. Did you get flashing yellow dash warning light sorted? It was doing it as you left the car yard.

This car works flawlessly! We are now in a deep deep freeze and it just keeps going! The flashing Yellow Light was the low tire warning, as it had winter tires and no sensors, once I put the factory wheels and tires back on, it went out!

Very cool. I went with the weather tech, pricy but worth it for the Sierra cement snow we get up here in the mountains of northern California. Getting my winter tiers Tuesday went with Hankoonk i-cept IZ2. Good tiers and on sale =) My 2014 Chevy Spark needs all the help it can get. Going with two sand tubes in the trunk about 60lb or 27.2155 kg.

It is a cute little vehicle. I think it has the same transmission as the Nissan Kicks, but you should get even better mileage because the car is smaller and lighter and the engine smaller. (My very best was 48.5 MPG.) They drive crazy on the expressway in the U.S., so that is my only concern about a smaller car. You don't have much traffic up there. I love cars that save on gas.

I live in a City of about 1 Million people, lots of traffic, but this car performs well in those situations, other than the interior noise levels which are on the higher side when traveling triple digit speeds, its great!

Yes, I purchased a set of viking contact 7 in 2019 for my Chevy cruze. I can say that I was impressed by how well they performed , no matter the weather or road conditions they were up to the task and I'd say they were the best winter tires I had ever purchased up to that point , I wasn't only impressed by how well they performed but also how well they lasted , I used them for 5 seasons and I drive quite a bit i believe i put at least 105,000 to 110,000 to km on them b4 they were worn out , they are a tough quality tire . For this season, I bought a set of continental winter contacts TS 850's because the price was right . Wait and see how they will perform , hopefully, it's a good choice too . Yes, there are other brands I would consider as well, i think any premium winter tire is probably a good choice, as long as the price is right . Good luck with your long-term testing 😂❤😊😊

ahaha yeah I will improve the camera angle POV for my next shot at a driving video! The car actually performs excellent on the highway, even at speeds over 130 km/hr, it felt stable, no problems!

Thanks for the video, so I’m guessing because your truck is a 350 that those tires are an Eply, anyway how’s the wear on those things would you say they be wearing a lot more faster than the TAKO3 by BFG I know it’s different compound rubber, but still how would you say the performed on the black ice?

My truck is a 350, so far they are holding up super well, I can't compare it to the TAK03 or the BFG, which in theory should hold up much better, but so far I have about 2K on them and they look new still, haven't driven my truck a lot until recently, so I will have a better idea and let you guys know as this truck is now my daily once again!

I previously had KO2’s which I really liked but the price for those installed now is 2000.00. Not worth it for me. I think I’ll try the Motomasters. I have a pair of winter Motomasters on our SUV and they are awesome.

@@corradettimotorsports360 So I purchased the tires and had them installed 3 days ago on my Ram 1500. I've had many All Terrain tires over my 30 year driving career and KO2's being my previous set. So far these things are amazing. Very quiet on the highway and handle great. Had the truck up to good speed while passing on the 100km/Hour highway and no vibes or anything. There is a couple of tight highway merge sections i take on the way to work and these grabbed the road like a dream (took the corner extra fast to test them out). Only thing I need to test now is Snow and Ice and of course the durability. The K02's were about 600.00-700.00 more than the Motomaster tires. So far I am very happy with the purchase.

Just bought these tires for my truck and no issues from 0-110km/h. Soon as you get over that speed, the vibration is so bad you can’t do it for more than a few seconds to pass someone. Not sure if you or anyone else experienced it with these tires. No shakes in the steering wheel, just a crazy vibration you can feel through your spine

I do notice a slight slight vibration between 105-110, but smooth right out after that, might need to balance them to see! the belts in yours might be defective? did you get a tech to look at them?

from my research I would stick with a Rotella T4 or similar, if you don't have cats, then you can always go with a Hot Rod Oil!
