Thalita, your videos are a course within themselves. I appreciate the detail you provide in a step-by-step process. I currently have a KIT account but, have dragged my feet setting up automation because it feels so overwhelming to me. I know, I'm missing out on saving myself time and energy in my business. Watching your videos in this series has been a huge help. I will most likely have to re-watch but I am encouraged to get started. Thank you so much

What is the logical career path for a marketing automation specialist? (If you like the technical part)
@thalita_milan
@thalita_milan 12 күн бұрын
Great question! If you enjoy the technical side, there are several paths you can explore. One option is becoming a marketing operations manager, where you'd oversee tools and processes for larger teams. If you’re into coding, you could dive into custom integrations or API development. The key is to keep building your technical skills-there’s so much demand for specialists who understand both marketing and tech!

Hey, thanks for the details. Do you know about how we can deploy our own HubSpot app in the Integrated app section
@thalita_milan
@thalita_milan 12 күн бұрын
To deploy your own app in the Integrated App section, you'll need to first create a private app in HubSpot. Then, you can use the HubSpot API to connect your app and configure the settings. If you’re not familiar with APIs yet, HubSpot's developer documentation is a great place to start!

Absolutely, as a data analyst, you’d bring some powerful skills to a marketing automation consulting role! Data analytics is essential for understanding customer behaviors, campaign performance, and ROI, all of which inform the automations you’d set up. You can apply your expertise by analyzing engagement metrics, conversion rates, and audience segments to help clients optimize their automations based on data insights. Plus, as a data analyst, you’ll be able to make strategic recommendations, tweak campaigns for better results, and provide clients with measurable, data-backed outcomes. It’s a fantastic way to bring value to any marketing automation project!

How is it that you create a phase called “Appointment Scheduled” in a “Deal Pipeline”? As I understand it, this would be even further away from a deal, or only “deal phases” can be created in the view at 1:39. Won't the first phase, which isn't actually a deal yet, have a negative impact on the entire pipeline because it's actually just a lead or MQL?
@thalita_milan
@thalita_milan Ай бұрын
In a deal pipeline, we create deal stages, which represent the different stages of your sales funnel specifically for active deals. "Lead" or "MQL" refers to the lifecycle stage, which is actually a contact property that indicates where a contact is in their journey, not necessarily where they are in the sales process. So, having an "Appointment Scheduled" stage in the deal pipeline doesn't negatively impact the pipeline-it just helps track progress once a lead is qualified enough to enter the sales funnel as a deal. Hope that clarifies things! 😊
@MaxE-l5x
@MaxE-l5x Ай бұрын
@@thalita_milan But under deals there are no “MQL” because there is no deal for it yet, if you create a deal for it of course it would appear there but it would dilute the real number of deals? -The deal amount cannot yet be clear with “ appointment booked” either.

Hey Thalita, loved your video, such clear and valuable information🎉 I would love to expand my knowledge as I am super passionate about this! would you recommend I start playing around with active campaign or hubspot? Would love to also get deeper knowledge into advanced marketing strategies and data analytics. For context I'm a former front end dev. turned automation and funnel implementation specialist. I work mostly with digital creators and platforms like convertkit/kartra/thrivecart. Thank you so much, have a lovely day

Thank you so much for the kind words! 🎉 I'm glad you enjoyed the video! Both ActiveCampaign and HubSpot are excellent tools, and the choice really depends on the types of clients you’re aiming to serve. HubSpot can be a great fit for clients looking for a robust, all-in-one platform with CRM, automation, and detailed analytics in one place, especially if they’re scaling or want more advanced capabilities. ActiveCampaign, on the other hand, is fantastic for businesses that need strong email automation and a user-friendly experience without the full CRM suite. Since you already have experience with platforms like ConvertKit and ThriveCart, diving into either will add valuable skills to your toolbox, but the best choice will align with your client base and the level of analytics and CRM integration they need. Hope that helps, and enjoy exploring! 😊

Hi Thalita… I’ve been working in marketing for about 8 years now. Digital and content marketing. However, I want to move completely into marketing automation. Do you think it’s good career path in the long run?? Since this role doesn’t have targets as such… Companies might start thinking about eliminating these roles in the name of “AI can do this now” what do you think of that possibility?
@thalita_milan
@thalita_milan Ай бұрын
Hi! Thanks so much for reaching out 😊. Marketing automation is definitely a solid career path for the long run! While AI tools are getting more advanced and can help automate certain tasks, the real value comes from the strategy and customization that only a skilled marketer can bring. Think of it like this: even if AI can execute automations, we still need people who understand the bigger picture and can guide the AI to build automations that are truly aligned with business goals and adaptable to change. It doesn’t do much good for a company to have a powerful AI tool if there’s no one who knows how to use it to create an effective automation strategy.

Thanks for your comment! You can do this by delving into a specific Automation platform (sich as HubSpot, Marketo, Salesforce, etc) and taking courses on the topic, as well as getting actual work experience on it

If you're looking to start in marketing automation, it's a good idea to begin by learning the basics of digital marketing concepts like email marketing, lead generation, and customer segmentation. Familiarize yourself with platforms like HubSpot, Mailchimp, or ActiveCampaign, which often offer free or low-cost certifications and training. As you learn, practice by creating automated email campaigns, building customer journeys, and experimenting with workflows. Once you've gained some experience, explore advanced concepts like segmentation strategies and data analytics to deepen your skills.
