I got a question why every time I turn on my car I need to settings of the audio over again supposed to save my settings if I turn off my radio in car

My AVIC 8000 volume decreases on its own. As soon as I turn it up it goes down. I’ve reset the unit and performed a hard reset as well.

Disconnect anything you have connected to the Wired Remote port, on the back of the unit. A bad interface module can cause a stereo to do odd things, like change volume, stations, or sources. If the issues continue, contact our Product Support at 1-800-421-1404, select option 1.

These radios are too complicated for no reason ive been trying to reset my bluetooth since i got my pioneer radio and all those setting to do that are dissabled

To access most settings, the unit needs to detect the parking/emergency brake has been engaged. If you engage the parking brake and still cannot access them, you need to have an installer check the connection of the light green wire.

If properly installed, it will turn off when you exit the vehicle. Otherwise, detach the faceplate and the unit will shut off.

Yes, you typically need a dash adapter kit and a wiring harness adapter kit too. Check with local dealer/installers, they should have them available.

I really wish you'd gone into more detail on the Camera Polarity settings. e.g Battery, Ground

In most installations, you would leave it on Battery. You connect the violet/white wire to the positive side of the reverse lights. When you go in reverse, the lights come on and send voltage to the wire.

Helpful, but why not explain the actual physical wire connections for using the rear speaker output wires for a subwoofer without amplification? Are the green wires bridged or not, are the purple wires used for the sub? This is not clear from the diagram that accompanied my 4850 receiver.

If you are connecting a subwoofer, you would only use the green and green/black wires. Do not connect anything to the violet and violet/black wires.

I would suggest clearing the Bluetooth on the radio and on your phone. Reboot both devices and then pair them again. If the issue persists, try a different phone. This will tell you if the issue is in the radio or the phone.

The USB port is located on the back of the AVH-X3800BHS. You should verify this is your model number.

@ mine is the 3800, with the buttons on the left side. I’ll have to pull it out to get to that USB cord, maybe I can route it so it’s like a plug in the console

Try using a different USB storage device. Make sure it is formatted to FAT32. Make sure it only has mp3 or wma audio files. If the issue continues, there may be a problem with the radio.
