I forgot about this game! One of my favorites. The atmosphere of dread and being cornered is so well done. The characters are likable, and the emotional connection within the constant danger drives the player to want to unravel the mystery of the mist. I had a really hard time with the dance mini-game as a kid, but is was easy replaying as an adult. Nice video!

It was very different. The other Megaman games have cool techno rock music and colorful enemies. This one has silent hallways underground with enemies that are muted and sometimes just attack you out of nowhere, specifically those ones that just charge at you. As you play through the game multiple times you realize how *empty* this world is and logistically nothing makes sense

dude this isn't even close to the hardest weapon to get in final fantasy series let alone all of gaming. i think you have somewhat catastrophically oversold this.

I feel like what they should have done is unlocked this weapon if you start a "new game" with a file that has reached this point and obtained the weapon, so you can start from the very beginning with this ridiculous game breaking weapon as a sort of reward for completing such a challenge. It'd be like how in Mega Man Legends, oddly enough "easy mode" has to be unlocked by beating "hard mode", so an "easy mode" file actually demonstrates that someone has mastered that particular game. Of course better yet, a fully functional "New Game +" mode would have been ideal.

I really enjoyed seeing Mega Man in the 3D game for the first time the one thing I kind of didn't like was the No Charge shot and no ability to steal enemies abilities all the previous Mega Man titles intercourse no Robot Masters or just in general villains for you to steal their power from it was replaced with getting money to buy power-ups that still don't quite measure up to Mega Man's old Power sets or even Mega Man X

You are wrong about Excalibur II doing 9,999 dmg with Stainer at lv1. The Zombie Dragon took 9,999 dmg becouse its weak to Holy which is the element of the sword, he also had MP attack ability activated becouse the hit took some of his MP and even then he must have equipped Holy dmg boosting gear (Mythril Helmet probably) and either Dragon or Zombie killer ability (they do not stack). Dmg formula in this game for minimum dmg with Greatswords is (weapon atk - enemy def) x ((character str + spr)/2). Stainer have 24 str and 22 spr at lv1. Regular enemy def is 10 so (108-10) x ((24+22)/2) = 98 x 23 = 2,254 dmg x 1.5 Holy dmg weakness = 3,381 x 1.5 Mythril Helmet = 5,071 x 1.5 killer ability = 7,607 and x 1.5 MP attack ability = 9,999 dmg. My point is that you can do 9,999 dmg at lv1 only against Holy weak enemy and even then you need specific setup. Its not that you equip the sword and swing for 9,999 dmg. And btw you can do every side quest, go for max stats (play at lv1 until the forced battles on Terra) and still reach ExII under 12 hours.

I replayed the hell out of ONLY disc 1 cause back then in ol Ps1 days, I sadly only had Disc 1. Can't recall how i got it but I received it as is. Never bought it. The most I could challenge myself is to get Garnet to the lowest level Summon level. (I think Shiva at 21/31) to see if i can summon. Nope. sad I never finished this game. I got it emulating on PSP to the point of Disc 3 but then my memory was erased. I'am literally destined not to finish this game cause things keep happening not fault of my own.

I got it once or twice. I used GameShark to cheat and make the characters lvl 99, and I was playing on my PS2 so I used the open and close technique to skip all of the cutscenes. I found it was best to save at the end of a disc and then make a new save at the end of the next one so that I didn’t lose all progress if I spent too much time on one place. I think I still have those three saves (end of disc 1, 2 and 3) so that I can get it again if I want.
