Hello, Respectfully, 36 hour fasting and then longer even is what corrected my blood sugar. I know it did. It saved me from diabetes. I also lost the weight that I needed to lose. I consistently did 36 hour as rolling fasting several times a week. It really does help.

Recently diagnosed with osteoporosis ( I am 61 years young). It's frustrating for me because I have been active all my life, exercise almost everyday; cardio and weights. Taking care of my diet (occasionally I derailed but not excessively. Thus receiving this diagnosis is frustrating. Yes, I had my day of feeling sorry for myself. Now I have read I should not run anymore, and be very cautious with the type of exercise I do.

I am intersted and could start right now-I’m technically in my “fasted state” now. Just wondering how I’m going to fit in my 120 grams of protein when fasting for 20 hours. I need something to change, due to recent weight gain, so I’m willing to try, but know that 35-40 grams of protein will fill me for those 4 hours. I don’t want to lose muscle mass. Thoughts?

I have been intermittent fasting, but sometimes I have been experiencing brain fog at work, and I sometimes I have had trouble falling asleep at night. So when that happens, I eat something, and I go to sleep without any trouble at all. Because of those issues, I have not been intermittent fasting consistently and have regained the pounds I initially lost. I am wondering what I should do?

I just received my Lumen today and was so glad to see this video! How often do you do them? You said you do the 20/4 hour fast. What are the times you use? I'm on a hour one and am wondering if I should change that? Also since I already purchased the Lumen and subscription I know I can't use your discount. But was wondering if I can use that to extend my subscription and how would you do that! Thanks!
@DyAnnParham10 күн бұрын
I don’t do many of these. Lumen is a long haul journey. It takes about two weeks for Lumen to adjust to you! Take the two weeks before you make any big lifestyle changes. Lumen is not a fan of fasting. The philosophy is carb heavy! Do what feels right for you. I still fasted 20/4 and did not follow their carb recommendations and loved my experience.

@@DyAnnParham Thanks for your reply! Yah I'm gonna stick with fasting and I'm working on figuring it out with Lumen! One quick question, if I may - Insurance just told me they'd cover it so they sent me a form to fill out. It asks for the mailing address, email address and phone number of the supplier and I can't seem to find it anywhere. Could you possible let me know that info? Thanks so much!!! :)

68f diagnosed with osteoporosis. Reversed T2 diabetes 5 years ago with low carb diet and IF 2MAD mostly 18:6. My Dr said to increase protein consumption drastically which is increasing my fasting morning BGLs and HBa1c. Do you think that it would help to try the 20:4 fast with 2 meals each that has roughly 50-60 grams protein? Does this sound realistic for both addressing Osteoporosis issues and BGLs? I've been alternating 3MAD 50-40-20 to try and spread out the protein. No idea if it matters....

Great way to explain about how we are going to live as our future selves! I put my scale away and go by how my clothes fit and how I’m feeling. There are times I feel like I’m retaining a lot of water and feel thick as well. I chalk that up to hormones because I know I’m eating right, exercising, right, and sleeping. I will pull a scale out every now and again just to see where I’m at. But I do not obsess about the number on that scale. Thank you DyAnn, I like how you said does your future yourself wanna stay living in the protocol you set up for yourself just to lose the 5 pounds!!! Living my best life 💃 Sherri 🌺

September 22 grad here. Great message! I have not stepped on the scale since May 2024. I had to take that number out of my brain and not have it rule my every waking moment. I’m fasting 16 to 20 hours a day, depending on how my body feels. I started a running program in September, and unfortunately overdid it, as I usually do with everything, and hurt my hip. For the last month, I have had to scale my workouts back to just walking. I should’ve known better, because I work at a physical therapy office and I see every day what over training does to people. Live and learn. Thanks, Dy Ann. All I want is to feel good mentally and physically every day, have enough brain power performed my job duties in a calm manner and have a peaceful life.
