Honestly if people don't have an immediate reason to switch over to natural products its less wasteful to finish them up and switch after

I love love loveee when you said "accepting the season I am in". This is something I am working on as well. I want to be more present in the moment instead of always waiting for tomorrow. To be grateful for every day God gives me and make the most of it despite the challenges of that day. God bless you, Jesus loves you <3

I went ten weeks last year and was so much more free in the mind. However this week I am on my second week of no SM after needing a clear out. I have improved my youtube channel and subscribers has gone so much higher since not having it. I would normally pick my phone up in the middle of making a video and get distracted, now that has stopped and my videos are completed without scrolling midway. But the biggest improvement is not seeing political, hatred, nonsense videos to the point where I dont even know what is happening in the worlds news events. So I recommend it just to give you peace of mind if anything. And you will improve your life areas elsewhere.

We use a microfiber cloth with only water to wipe down our kitchen every night. Use another microfiber cloth to dry and *voila* clean kitchen

The hardest thing I got rid of was a $500 black leather jacket. It was certainly a fantasy self purchase. I just never wore it much. It didn’t feel like me. I ended up giving it to my 30 something daughter. I don’t know if she wears it but even if she doesn’t I don’t fret about it anymore!

I recently discovered another very good replacement for sponges. As I moved to the nordic countries, I noticed that people there generally donät use sponges for dishes, but dish brushes, which is esentially the same as a bottle brush and it cleans so much better also because you can use hot water and don't have to directly touch the water with your hands. Lasts for a very long time, and you just hang it above the sink after use.

My mindset will not let me just throw out cleaning supplies I already have. I use up what I have and then replace the product with a sustainable version.

On the subject of intentional living, I recommend the book Stolen Focus by Johann Hari. That book has changed my outlook on life in so many ways.

I am a slowpoke by nature and not by choice, especially now that I'm getting older and deal with chronic illness/pain/fatigue. In a perfect world, everyone would get to move at a pace that is most comfortable for them. There are certain tasks you want to get done and over with as fast as possible and that's okay too.

Dish sponges need to be cleaned, wrung out and stored in a way they dry. Imagine if you stored your toothbrush in a dish if water. Everything you use needs to be used properly.

IMPORTANT PSA: Anyone using vinegar mixed with baking soda to clean: don't use them together. The chemical reaction (fun fizzing) they do together is essentially the acid and base cancelling out. The end product of mixing these two is H2O (water). Use one or the other!

I LOVE decluttering, the thing for me is that when i get rid of items, i want to get some money for it. Not just because it cost me money to buy this stuff, but because i am in need of even 1 euro to save some money and spend it on our renovation of our home. When i get rid of stuff by throwing it away or give it to a secondhand shop, i think it's just wasting money. But at the same time i've got a dressoir FULL of clothing that i put on vinted or 'marktplaats'.. it's hard to choose a good inbetween thing.

My mama is Korean, so no we never had one-use dusters. Instead just use a dump cloth to get rid of the dust, as my mama was saying to me: “If it’s not a dump cloth you’re just swiping the dust back and forth in the house” 😂 still using her method tho and it’s hella environmental friendly too
