Metallica can even hold a candlestick next too Winger. Metallica is all about chug chug chug on the guitars and Wingers, Reb Beach is a Technical Monstah guitarist!!! The whole band is so incredibly talented.

You guys are hating on Wesley Fır Hid Alcohol Problems. Wesley totally smoked that song back in 1996, 2006, 2008, 2014, 2016. He perfectly covered that song until alcohol abuse ruined him around 2023 when the Sirius XM incident hapoened At Howard Stern's Radio Show. You Guys Are Extremely Pretentious And Narcisistic. The Kind Of Guys To Claim " Kurt Would Have Loved Or Hated This " Kurt Himself Deteriorated far worse than that About A Girl Cover At A Radio Show. There are a few guys I think could handle it, but I think even they agree that no one can or should fill those shoes. There's a great deal of respect there. Mike is a great drummer, as are others I've worked with, and all are really cool guys to work with. Remember, the purpose of this event was to honor Neil, have fun and raise money for a good cause, and all the drummers there were high fiving and supporting each other and respecting everyone's unique style of playing. That's the way it should be.

@@joeladams2540 What do you have against Mike Portnoy?
@petertsickritzis9208
@petertsickritzis9208 5 ай бұрын
Portnoy gets to claim "best drummer ALIVE" now. That's pretty much the only way a drummer can ascend to such a place. Neil Peart held that title from 1980 until his passing. I think he was better than Bonham already by 1980 but very few would have been willing to say that in 1980. Congratulations Mike portnoy, YOU are the best drummer alive.

@@joeladams2540 my statement wasn't based on that particular performance of YYZ. it was based more on the decades old lists of best drummers from assorted sources that had portnoy second to the ubiquitous consensus number 1 of all time in Neil Peart. I didn't say "best ever". I said "best ALIVE". that second part is important. Drummers always OD or suffer other assorted methods of ending their lives, so rock drummers even as old as Neil Peart are rare. Portnoy s own catalog of performances is outstanding. But what we have now, that we haven't had in over 40 years is an actual debate. If you disagree, that's fine. I'm not trying to die on this hill. I'm open to suggestions. I like other guys better. You just can't deny his skill and catalog. I mean, after Neil it doesn't even matter.
