I was taking part in the Nationals race at Electric Dreams and met Joel for the first time during practice for the event. 3 things stood out :- a true gentleman, he listened and took all the information he could, he dialled in pretty quickly for a guy new to slot cars. For a new guy he didn't de-slot very much and his pace progression through the weekend was very good. I hope to see you at the 2025 Nationals Joel - but don't progress too quickly !!

Joel can bring alot of rc racer to slot racing. Legend in rc. My first f1 car was kyosho express that Joel race.

Hi Guys! Joel is the man! In Dallas we raced 1/12 indoor carpet and outdoor back in the '80s and off-road. I raced stock class-boy were the 1/12th scale cars twitchy! 😀 I had a Futaba square box wheel radio and an Associated R/C 12E ca.1979. The kit came with a charge CORD no kiddin'. Robert

A short note to correct two little errors in my description: Firstly, the screws for front axle adjustment and the four on the sides for body height are M2, not M2.5, although the holes will accept an M2.5 setscrew if the hole is pre-tapped. Secondly, the pads in the body for the body height adjustment screws are not fitted on these particular versions of the car, so there's really no need to fit them at all. According to the manufacturer, the pads will be incorporated in later versions of the car (yes, there may well be more liveries/versions coming!)

I agree about magnets. I have a Scalextric Sport Track and a lot of different cars. Without magnets, my cars “bite the rug” at almost every turn. And someone please tell me how racers run their cars at seemingly full speed without magnets. Do they use front AND back slot pins to keep their cars on the track? IMHO, no car using spongy soft tires and one guide pin and NO magnet can race full speed and stay on the track.

Saw them race many times...in fact I used to call Trevor Harris one of the original Shadow designers. His daughter in law was my son's barber!

Thank you Marco for bringing them both together in this Interview. Both are an enrichment to our world wide community, ever since they appeared on YT. Rahul brought so many guys together when he started his Monday Night live streams when he kicked it off. Massimo is a true race addicted guy, as well as Rahul. Wonderful interview of the guys .I've only gotten back into slotcars since last November, but Rahul and Massimos were some of the first channels I discovered. I tried the controller with a couple of very different motors in cars and it adjusted immediately to the type of motor.. Fun interview with two fans of slot car racing. Thank you!
