I adore this breed! My wife and I have owned and used to breed English Bull Terriers for close to 40 years, and have never come across a vicious one. All have been confident, deeply loving and gentle in nature, and love both children and other dogs. No young child should be left unattended with any dog breed not just a bull terrier. For me the danger would be in the bull Terriers overly affectionate nature. Their heads are like anvil's and they can sometimes forget just how powerful they are, so an accidental head clash with a playful bull terrier will ultimately result in the human coming off worse, while the bully won't even notice. Of all the bullies that I've been privilaged to know, only four ever had to resort to an aggressive response, but on each occasion it was purely in self defence, they were never the aggressor. That of course is because each had been socialised from birth. Also, on each of those occasions the aggressor learned a valuable life lesson. If someone wants a true soul mate that will do everything in his or her power to entertain you and make you laugh out loud every day, the Bull Terrier could be the best friend you'll ever have. That is if keeping a bag of cement as a pet is appealing to you. Mike.

PSI (pounds per square inch) is a pressure (force per unit area), or Pascals in SI units (Newtons per square meter). Force is measured in plain old Newtons or lbf in old units. I can easily bite with a force of 2lbs on one square millimetre (sorry to mix units!), meaning that my bite is over 1200psi. Impressed? If I could bite with 50lbs force on one square inch I manage a not so impressive 50psi. Pressure is an absolutely irrelevant unit to use for comparative purposes unless the area upon which is exerted is specified or standardised. Getting basic physical units like this so wrong suggests a fundamental ignorance of basic science and makes as much sense as saying that my car has a top speed of 100 miles, or that my fuel consumption is 15 litres.

The main reason is fear in my opinion, chihuahuas don’t like messy, chaotic situations and all kind of strange people handling them or rough play. Train them gently, and regular schedules and habits, use the same words for what you want them to do and be consequent. They do not thrive well in uncertain conditions, never know what expect next and every day has another schedule.. And be careful about medication, our chihuahua had a bad fur for 8 years, cause couldn’t be found. Turns out Is was the Bravecto she got from the veterinarian . We stopped this anti lice tablets, now she has a beautiful fur and no itches.Luckily, if treated well chihuahuas can get very old, so she can profit from her new not so itchy fur.

Yes, you are correct, Chihuahuas are gentle dogs that prefer calm environments. It's unfortunate that your dog has experienced discomfort due to skin diseases. It is common for dogs to have allergic reactions or adverse effects from medications. Hopefully, her skin and coat are now in good condition!

They're not aggressive unless they're raised by morons. My chihuahua is an autistiism service dog. He runs free in the park with other dogs and comes everywhere with me. Treat them like the breed is supposed to be treated. Never shout and NEVER hit.

I think the bad rap comes from breeders not temperament testing the puppies thus placing them in homes that are not suitable for the new family. High drive puppies go to working dog homes. Low drive puppies make great pets (which is still dependent on the owners). Any type of temperament in the wrong hands can be a recipe for disaster. Thanks for sharing this video.

Yeah I don't know about a wolf smasher😂 LOL wolves up here are 150 lb.. Plus they fight for survival so I think a wolf would make short work with this dog 😂😂😂

My friend, while there are certainly large wolves out there, Alabays were specifically bred to safeguard livestock from predators - it's their job, you could say. A lot hinges on the demeanor of the dog and the predator in any given encounter.

You might be surprised. 99% chance the wolf runs. The dog is protective and territorial. The wolf is mostly a scavenger looking for an easy meal. I live outside a small town in Ontario, Canada. About two hour drive east of Toronto. While not a wolf, there are a lot of coyotes around here. One night the coyotes got a little bit too close to the house. Behind the house I have sheep. Final score? Border Collies 7, Coyotes 0. 7 dead coyotes I had to clean up. And those collies barely weigh 70 lbs each soaking wet. I think the beagle and Jack Russel were encouraging the collies.... little sh*t disturbers. The best thing about a beagle? With his sense of smell he warns the other dogs about danger almost an hour before the danger actually arrives. The wolf would run. If not? Well, then... you just got yourself a cozy new wolf rug for your library.

@@garcemac Both the wolf and the coyote are aware that a man will come to retrieve the dogs, so they wisely choose to flee. This is beneficial as dogs can sustain serious injuries in a confrontation.
