That intro had a big effect on me when i was young i always washed my face morning and nights since im 10 , my grandmother used to to this too. The nail brushes, etc..Faye was so good in that role. I love that movie the house is beautiful , Joan's dresses. It's a great movie , not easy to watch.

This intro is so satisfying, I bet her room is one of the softest to sleep in and the closet smells refreshing. Looks timeless too

Faye gave the ABSOLUTELY best performance of her life in this picture !! HANDS DOWN ! ( even Andy Warhol said ...."if this isnt acting, than I dont know what is ...) Unfortunately, the ENTIRE rest of the cast were mediocre at best and couldnt support her ability

It's a wonder she had any skin on her face, arms and hands at all after that morning regemine!!!😲 Joan was lovely when she was younger, but her vanity and greed aged her beauty. The ugliness she had inside, showed on the outside. Faye was amazing in her portrayal

Faye Dunaway is a parody of Joan Crawford. If Shelley Duvall had been cast, it would have been a satire.

All I’m focusing on is her routine and how some of what she is doing is actually bad for your skin but they didn’t know better back then. Like the hot and cold water instantaneously can burst blood vessels and do permanent damage. Also the harsh scrubbing on your skin is also not good for your skin.

If being a mother was a song it would be this.

The original opening was supposed to take place on set of the movie she was making. Joan injures her ankle on the ice rink but refuses to stop shooting. It was supposed to show how devoted to her craft she was. For budgetary reasons they went with this opening, instead.

It's really a shame that Faye hates talking about this film and hated its legacy.

The fact that even the signature for Joan Crawford is super close shows you how much attention she paid to the character! I looked it up once I saw it out of curiosity and it looks very similar.
