If you are overwhelmed don’t bother selling or organising anything you don’t have the time to give yourself all that extra work, just fill a bag and get it out of your room one bag or box at a time. Don’t overthink it one bag or box then get it out 20 mins chunks. Ask a friend or your mum to help you.

For the past 2 months, I do 15 minutes in the morning before work and another 15 minutes at night before I go to bed. Am I getting things done fast? What helped me learn to let go of what doesn’t fit was a comment by someone online (probably Facebook) where they said (I have to mention that I really love the KonMari Method and she says you should keep what sparks joy) that the cute clothes that were too small don’t only spark joy, they also spark sadness as you regret how you don’t fit into them anymore every time you see them. Maybe this helps you, too. Clothes are meant to work for you now, make you happy now, not some undefined time in the future or the past (as I said before in my other comment). Hope this is useful. xxx

I have started getting in the habit of letting anything go that doesn’t fit because for years I believed I would lose weight and I never did so I realised I will buy new cute clothes if I ever do lose weight. That was my stance until recently because last year I actually did lose 9kg so now I am keeping some favourites as I have actual hope of fitting back into them but it’s mostly sizes I recently outgrew, not really my goal weight. As I weigh 119kg and wanna get down to around 75kg. But it’s been proving very hard this year so I need to get back to my diet. Or in sizes, I used to be size 10-12 and now I’m a 22. 😔 I have lost 9kg but I haven’t lost a dress size yet aside from my bra circumference which has become one size smaller. 😊 I would recommend that you let go what doesn’t fit you now as you’re supposed to feel happy in your clothes now not in the future or the past. And it’s fun to get to buy new clothes once something has become too big.

Your birthday seems like a great day :) I wish for days without stress, too. With baby clothes I am in the happy situation to have little cousins. I enjoy seeing them in my kids old clothes. This colorful little jumper: we had the same ❤ What comes back in good condition isn’t that much. But I wish for a third baby, my husband doesn’t. I KNOW I should get rid of the clothes and only keep a vacuum bag of keepsakes, but… I loved being pregnant and having babies. My body coped with it very good, I was really healthy, the deliveries actually were positive experiences. But it’s something you can’t find compromises on. 2.5 kids is not possible. Now most of our baby clothes is still at my brother-in-laws home but his wife and me want to get it sorted soon. She struggles with fertility and hopes for a second child but as she had a very difficult first pregnancy (the baby had to be born at 32 weeks to save her) and the risk rises as she gets older (already 40)… well, it’s a difficult task for both of us. I feel for you. We had the opposite with sizes. EVERYONE told me I wouldn’t need the smallest size, because a bit bigger is OK and they wouldn’t wear it that long. My son actually LOST his onesies over the shoulders when we got home and my husband rushed to the store to buy a few tiny newborn clothes 😂 He wore them at least 2-3 month. My daughter grew a bit faster but both were really small as newborns (but healthy).

Aww I bet that is so lovely, a lot of stuff got handed down to dexter too from his cousin 🥰 we handed some down to his younger cousin and I’ve never seen him in anything we handed down and he’s almost 2 now. It’s hard isn’t it. Especially when you do want more babies and making agreements with your partner is tough when you both want different things. Hugs your way. My pregnancy and delivery were both rough. I opted for a home birth which ended with a transfer to hospital and emergency c section followed by a 7 day stay in hospital alone because of covid. 😩 I’d like to hope next time (if and when) will be a lot different 🤞🏻 I’m glad to hear your pregnancy and births were lovely 🥰 and I’m sorry to hear about your sister in laws struggles. That must make it a lot harder to deal with baby clutter. 😩 I’ve sent all the newborn stuff to charity, I’m still going through everything now. Finished my last load of washing everything that needed washing. Put off sorting for 2 days because it was exhausting me. I thought to myself… watch me have a tiny baby next time 🙈😂 we will have to do the same and run to the shop if so haha Dexter was 10lbs 🙈 he was overdue too, maybe if he was born on time he may have been smaller. However he was a good baby to cuddle 🥰 I actually adored his chunkiness haha ❤️
