@aomafura33742 ай бұрын
You can straighten the top of walls through the fence setting for Buildings. This is useful for uneven terrain because uneven terrain makes walls have uneven heights. So, you dont have to lower walls that have arches that may affect the shape of the arch. This makes the chopping walls to individually lower height not necessary.

If you change the color for any wall/placeable/building at the beginning, it’ll keep that color for all the next builds! Also for the stairs, you can edit them so they build flat at the top right off the bat, and then it takes way less time- no clipping each individual section. The house is so beautiful! Hope those tips help in future builds ❤
@private11772 ай бұрын
look at the game version in the top right. :) Nice tips, if those things were already in the game when she recorded that, which it sadly wasn't. The preview build was from the 07. Sept. The updates you are talking about are from like 1 week ago.

Really enjoying your videos. I watched one of them earlier on YT then popped onto the disc promotions section and you had posted the same video there too :D btw Medieval buildings overhung on the upper stories because people were charged property tax by the ground footage. So they could make their living or work space bigger by making the upper stories larger, adding balconies, etc.. and not pay more tax. Before too long buildings actually became dangerously top heavy. But it's such an iconic and cool architectural look.
@diplopanda2 ай бұрын
That is some really interesting knowledge right there! I would have never guessed, thank you for telling me!! I love the look of the architectural look that they have, and now I have the fun knowledge of why!!! (:

Will this live series be a big build? Or several smol builds? Looking forward to the series!
@diplopanda2 ай бұрын
I'm hoping this is gonna be a bigger build! I don't know exactly where this is gonna go as I'm just having fun and not doing much planning 😅 Although, I'm just slowly working on this on hour at a time, and after I finish this glade I'm probably gonna do a similar series with a different glade idea completely. Along with this bigger glade, I'm gonna try to do smaller scale builds and still do smaller videos in general - And use all the other free time I have working on the much bigger glade I'm focusing on T_T

I'm absolutely loving this game. It's brought out a creative side of me that I didn't even know existed. I had played the demo for it when that dropped, and I never could've imagined the possibilities that I've seen others dream up. I hope in the future, the devs come out with either a more modern themed styles as well, or possibly another version of the game.

3:22 Heyy, i haven't gotten the game yet. What is the brick limit for?
@diplopanda3 ай бұрын
Hello!! So the brick limit is typically something an average player isn't going to hit, it's more than one may think, but I do believe it's like the actual count bricks used in walls and buildings. 1M is a loooot though, so it's something one shouldn't be worried about when playing the game! (: [There are limits for roofs & windows as well, but the windows I think are like 8000 so you shouldn't reach that, and no one has reached the roof limit so I have no idea what that looks like. . ] I'm sure these limits are just optimizations and things to make sure the game runs well, but it's something you shouldn't worry about if you're thinking of buying the game! It doesn't hinder it in any way, as within that large range you typically aren't going near those limits.
@blagoevski3363 ай бұрын
@diplopanda Yeah, when i get the game, I'm gonna be building small medieval styled towns, so it's not gonna be an issue. Thanks for the clarification. ^^

Thank you so much! Very helpful. I learned a bunch and kept a note of each point so I can reference I if I forget. Usually games have a tutorial like this at the beginning to show basic commands and this one the only instruction it ever offered was L Ctrl to disable snapping and I hadn't even learned what that was exactly (until this video fully explained it) LOL. Now to practice and then view your more in depth tutorials. Want to learn bridges and arches next and I believe I've seen videos for both in your list. Thanks for the help, it is much appreciated.
@diplopanda3 ай бұрын
Glad this helped! I'm happy to serve my part in the community! I do believe there is a tutorial, but it can be easy to miss the instructions and I don't know if theres a way to pop it back up so I'm glad that this was useful for you! (:
@daniellethomas17613 ай бұрын
@@diplopanda I wonder if I accidentally skipped it? I had to ALT Tab out of the game as soon as I launched it and when I came back I never got anything but a suggestion for L Ctrl. I had a thought that maybe I missed something but wasn't sure.

@diplopanda3 ай бұрын
I don't have a playlist, although I certainly could make one when I get the time to do so, as I have all of the music names written down. Although in the description of each video, I have the channel or the video link itself to the creator (depending on what they wish for me to write to credit them) (:

Do you see all this in your mind first and then start building or plan ahead or just go with the flow? It looks super awesome.
@diplopanda3 ай бұрын
Thank you for the kind words!!! Oftentimes, I look for inspiration, and try to pick a general vibe that I'm going for, other times I'll draw out some sketches mixing inspo pics together, put together different styles and things that I like but generally after I start I just go with the flow of things (I have also started glades where I just scrap my entire thinking and go for it) Although here, after placing down for first buildings and figured out what I want for the landscaping and vibe, I winged it (and those stairs came as a consequence of those actions (: )

@@diplopanda but at least it already looks good so far. And it looks way more complete. Also you can probably cut down on overlapping buildings with the new no meron options.
@diplopanda3 ай бұрын
I actually was gonna go through and erase them, but I don't think I have any overlapping buildings to get rid of merlons in the build that I can get rid of. . . so- 😅
@myaawp33583 ай бұрын
Thanks for the explanation! So basically: If you don't want railing add a 2nd building in the same exact position as the building with the railing. And 2nd, add pathing stairs for an easier time at first and then add a million more buildings to build up elevation.
@diplopanda3 ай бұрын
Yup~! Although I actually believe sometime later today, or sometime soon, there should be a new patch coming out where there's an option (after you flatten a roof) to make it so the merlons or the railings disappear, so good-bye exact precision placing and doubling up on buildings for stairs! (:
