As a returning player after 6 years . Not sure why you would come back if you hate the story quests so much ,that's what drew me back but nice video

New player here. I've never paid for WoW. I'll follow your advice and hope to get more enjoyment out of the game than I've found in the free trial.

I started in July of 2024. Just 20 year of information and expansions to keep up with. The pvp has been brutal, going up against more exped players is rough. People are pretty mean on on the game. They don't have the best patients for new people. Yeah it sucks. But I keep grinding. Newbs are rare so when they see one, boy do they like to single you out for fun.

I just logged in for. the first time since Cata. I went back to the starter area just to practice and get the hand of my abilities. I got handed my ass. No more low level enemies now? And my level was bumped down to 26. I have a lot to learn I guess...

You the base are why. I start a new "toon" and have to learn 10k things only to be kicked and gatekept from the game fro not knowing. Then yall whine about bots and gold sellers/buyers as you stop anyone new from learning the game proper pr gearing proper, becasue fuk then for not knowing dungeons theyve nevee done like the back of theirbhand roght? I mean its a normal dungeon, you only got 1 life and 10 seconds how dare they not know. What fucking scum. And that's why new players quit, or buy gold to catch up Because you fucked them raw. For being new.

Same…I stopped with Cataclysm. So much content and I don’t feel like I NEED to raid unless I want to. I don’t feel like I need to give my life to the game.

It was incredibly fun when it came out but leveling has gotten so boring it hurts. It's just designed around the aspect of "dailies" and then there's nothing to do. They even limit you on how many times you can solo raids, just to keep you paying that monthly fee to get your phoenix mount

I've restarted playing wow to play with friend right before The war within. I was raider in classic to wotlk. The game as became to easy every class is now good at everything it's just some 5% didference here and there.

Stay should atleast make the expansion dungeons relevant instead of one hitting.. even if the drops aint good, its still fun for random dungeon runs.. im a eso player starting wow.. and having just 5 dungeons for 2 years i think is just garbage.. getting bored really fast and repeatitive

I just got back into WOW after many years of not playing and purchased latest expansion, BUT honestly probably would never had done this without the incentive of a free year of WOW subscription (dont ask, i know a guy). That being said I have a L70 boost, but really wanted to start a new character as it can be overwhelming to suddnely be L70 (even more so if you never played that class). I don't get the rush to be L70?? I found a recent video guiding me to level faster through efficent questing zones and it has been great. I can't speak to the difficulty ramping up, but so what as I don't want it to be super easy anyway. I get to experience earn each talent upgrade and really learn my class. This specific guide has me using Legion through Chromie and I never played Legion so all new to me. I know everyone is different and some must race to L80 on day one of expansion, BUT I personally think a reasonable leveling exprience is great for new players or those out of WOW for a long time. I am L32 so who knows I may come back and rant when I hit the 50's! Or loose my patience and use the boost - LOL!

as someone who wants to play the free trial before deciding if he wants to stick to it or not the lvl 20 cap is low-key the reason I stopped playing it

As someone who quit after mop I 100% disagree . Dragonflight is Barbie horse adventure + Neopets. It doesn’t feel anything like cats or mop, not even in the slightest. Dragonflight was a pallet cleanser from shadowlands. Meaning shadowlands was bad and dragonflight is literally barely above that. It doesn’t feel like wow in any way shape or form

I just picked it up again after a few years and I feel lost with it. Every dungeon I have done has been with lower levels scaled up and they kill everything instantly, which is weird.

tbc and cata are the only good expansions

Hold on... how is going to tbc or cata world a better experience than bfa or dragonflight? Questing in the old world is so rough compared to modern. If your goal is to queue spam well new players dont do thst and when they do, they dont fare well because they know nothing of the dungeons including the paths, skips or mechanics. New players getting lost in maraudon, stratholme, diremaul, and lets not even mention the tbc dungeons that are full of random spammable cc. Weird video

Tbf wow is so bloated also, I can imagine a player looking at all the greyed out mounts, transmogs, etc and seeing a literal everest to climb. Wow should have stopped with Wrath because that neatly ended the most popular story of warcraft. Wow 2 should have been done then rather than the constant features to please shareholders and players. Wow in 2000s was untouchable. Now it's losing out to ffxiv, gw2 and others in regards to player feedback (not to say the others are perfect). The narrative around wow is treadmills, grind, daily tasks rather than goals, toxic player base, money grubbing store despite the sub fee, bloated content, confusing / bad story. Literally cannot do anything right anymore, even it's staff are treated terribly.

I'm a relatively new player. I have no nostalgia for this game. It's just a very fleshed out great concept for a game. I'm currently playing turtle wow & am loving every minute. Got a level 46 mage comin along. Retail is just badly designed. It's not complicated.

I'm currently leveling in the MoP remix and it's actually pretty fun. Up until this point the only character I got to max level was 2019 classic.

I just recently started WOW less than a month ago and the main thing I hate is how unintuitive the system is when it comes to obtaining the ability to use important items like the Dalaran Hearthstone. I have still yet to figure out exactly how to do the quests needed for it's use. I have spent over an hour trying to get it to work and I still can't. I changed my timeline back to Legion with Chromie, and went to the quest board only to find that it doesn't let me pick the right quests according to google and only shows low level quests that have nothing to do with unlocking the Dalaran Hearthstone usage. Basically its stupid how you have to have been playing for years and completed tons of content in order to use a whole bunch of basic items that should be easily accessible to starter players. In the instances where you do have access to the items that are needed to do basic stuff, you still have to figure out how to unlock the use of them after obtaining them. When you ask people in general chat for help, the community is largely unresponsive and is of no help at all. They either completely ignore your pleas for help or say you're just a troll.

Like every game once it's spoiled with too much content, it becomes a burden more than a game. And nothing really feels accomplished, but more so given to me. So there's no satisfaction when achieving anything. And at the same time it feels impossible to consume all the content in a meaningful way. More isn't always better and they really need to stop pushing out all these meaningless expansions. Same goes for Hearthstone, just like Pokémon, ruined by an overabundance of content.

Hey, I recently cancelled my subscription to wow and uninstalled it from my system after playing wow for 17 years......I haven't enjoyed wow for years, the whole battle for Azeroth then shadowlands was just ick.....and then totally changing flying and making us use it or we can't do story quests....that was it for me.... I've only ever played wow as a solo player, and while I've made friends along the way, they're all gone now playing other games or not playing at all and Azeroth just wasn't fun anymore...

Great video...I can see how ramping up apathy would push new players away for sure. They should make the leveling experience fairly consistent, get those people to 60 or 70 faster so then they could be prey for micro transactions...although I think you nailed it, that boost to 70 becomes increasingly attractive.

Just finished leveling an Evoker in mop-remix and holy fucking hell I hate this class so much! If all other classes and specs rank between 5-10 (out of 10) Evoker, at least for me ranks negative 10. Holy fuck squared!

because it`s p2w trash and new player`s see this. instead of leveling, exploring and community, kinda everything is about selling gold designt. its about getting max level in 1-2 Days, and then start buying gold to progress fast. And then at max level you have the option, you want to farm your gear and mats in one week? or just buy everything with 10 dollars. the game is dogshi*** imo, there is even a official chatt channel for boosters xD

Does this still work? Mainly the level 60 character exploit and the sack of loot scaling with your level when you open it and not when you obtain it.

They deff did it for the boost,… i started playing wow again after 8 years and went with my demon hunter that was a level 42. , i got it to level 60 and damn it felt sooo weak.. then i bought a level 70 boost

The problem is the story line, wow has no soul.. all the expanios do not matter but this creates this story less world

Imo you need quest addons.. you need to lnow how to run the quest line.. in dragonflight you need to start as if you were a level 60, by flying to thT zone and start the campain that way and then work your way up so you get a feel of the game

your dislike of 4 expansions back to back should probably have been enough to tell you that wow isnt for you anymore.

I'm one of the rare few that loves shadowlands and can't stand dragonflight. I'm not sure how many of us there are lol

que times for dungeons 1-60 are actually 15-45min long and pvp ques are non existent. if u do get in its 45-1 hr 45min+

I just started playing again after a 10 year break. I noticed what you are saying how my character is getting weaker the higher I level. I could go through mobs in just a couple seconds in my level 10sih stages. Now I'm level 35 and it's taking me longer to kill mobs I encounter, and I have more abilities to attack with. I first played WoW when it was first released. I LOVED the game then. Now I started a new account, and it's so confusing with professions. I like the game now, but just not in love with it anymore. I'm sure me changing is a big part of that, but the game makes leveling not as fun as it once was. I love getting a mount at 20 instead of 40, and being able to fly is a great addition. I'm from the walk until level 40 days and those were tough. I'm still playing after a couple weeks, but the higher level I get, the less I play. Thanks for the guide. I wish I had found it before I started playing again.
