I have a 2016 GLC 300 need timing chain replaced. Has80000 miles but BNZ refuse to repair warranty because I did not service the vehicle from authorize service center. Now it parks in my driveway. Diagnostic fault code P03400.My question is where is the broken timing chain? was it fall inside homeware's that can damage the engine? After replacing the chain what kind of issue I may going to have? Please answer.

Please, why did you overhaul the differential, what were the symptoms? Me on my w210, manual transmission, when I shift gears there is a knock at the back in the area where the differential is located, what do you think could be the problem?

Have you tried to visit the dealer, asking for the warranty? This pump is covered by 25 years warranty if times out - in US. I have read on Facebook that one guy had this covered by this warranty here in UK, so it's always good to try.

@@Mr8tomek8 yes I’ve tried that. 25yrs in the USA ONLY 10yrs here initially. The criteria here is its at there discretion, the vehicle must have full service history by MB, diagnostic must be carried out by MB dealer, average cost £240 & I’m told by my local MB dealer they don’t do it anymore & MB do not supply the units anymore 😤

I installed a new chain, phasers, used the cam alignment tool, installed a new tensioner, and I released the tensioner properly. Everything lined up perfectly. I get code P0017, Cam position sensor bank B, changed it and still there. I heard somewhere that the exhaust cam mark needs to be a line off/tooth off from the housing arrow mark. Is this the procedure that needs to be done when doing the timing chain job?

7G transmissions do not have an oil dipstick. A measured amount of oil is put into the gearbox through the drain screw. There is a pressure oil filler for that.

Hello would you be able to let me know if i want to swap a used camshaft in m278 engine which is similar to this design, would i have to replace the roller rockers and lifter? Does it matter in this design? My camshaft reluctor wheel is no longer in sync with the camshaft markings and i got a used camshaft in good condition with low miles. I am just unsure if i can just replace it in my engine without changing the rollers. Does wear matter in this design. Much appreciated

sadly you did NOT show how to remove the steeing fluid pipe(and the fluid itself), which prevents the cover from coming of the motorblock. Beside that it's a good video, thanks

Never ever felt so swindled buying a mercedes. Thought I was doing an upgrade, buying a premium product. Even gave them the benefit of a doubt a second time. Biggest mistakes I've ever done regarding vehicles. Utter pieces of . Issues and problems left and right. Cheesy plastics EVERYWHERE. Dealer network is a joke akin to Apple. The fanboyism is rampant and unbearable. Never ever again in my life.

Connect new chain to old chain spin it until old chain is off and new one is on then disconnect old chain from new chain. Not rocket science
