no matter what i set my gain to my speakers are still chopping. i have absolutely no clue why. every video on the internet assumes you have some $5000 tool to measure sound and no one on youtube knows how to set subsonic or lpf. even watching your subsonic/lpf video didn’t help. because your subsonic needs to be tuned to whatever your subsonic are tuned to but how in the hell do i know what my subs are tuned to if they’ve never been tuned?

If you're playing music through your phone, should you use the same eq setting in the phone or just leave them flat?

The head unit should have an adjustable volume max lockout. Or build the head units so they wont clip at max vol.. that would just make too much sense.

Is it a concern that the handheld o scope doesn't have the range to see both sides of the sine wave? Mine is also this way and didn't know if you could clip on one side of the sine wave before the other?

Question on pre amp rca voltage. Alpine HU max rca voltage spec 4v at full tilt. Is it safe to set it more than 4v as long as my sweep is clean throughout. I’m able to get more than 4v by setting the speaker level to max which results in my max volume being lower which is fine because I’m never listening at full tilt. Tried this configuration once and my system was loud and clear but I’m not sure if more than 4v is safe so I set it to 4v at full tilt. I also saw that if rca volts is higher, my gain will be lower on my amp and less noise will be picked up.

Question…. What’s the best place to ground 2 batteries in the rear. I have an 09 suburban two Orion 15.2 on a small for now bass 5K from taramps. I have a 320 alt that I’m going to have installed but the installer said that he can install it until I have everything in the back connected… “after he told me he would install it and all I had to do was have runs of 0guage CCA from the hood to the back. So I did that and then he said he can install the alt cause it will fry my battery without the connections to the batteries in the back. So my question is do I drill and ground to the chassis by the spare tire or can I ground elsewhere inside rather than the subframe/ chassis?

Question! Love your videos! My pair of 6x9s recommended HPF is 120hz, and a pair of 6.5 subs with recommended LPF 160hz. So do I just use those settings? Or is it better to set my HPF to 160hz so it picks up where the subs start to roll off?
