Congratulations on the new suppressor. The sound is very good. The only thing to check is your Signature day and night. You can get sock that will go over the suppressor to mitigate thermal signature a couple other techniques that I figured out that you can do to eliminate your thermal signature. I will get back with you. Thanks as always for sharing brother.🇺🇸

Great shooting! I agree with the previous comment about what makes it this particular challenge difficult. Sometimes the wind is variable in direction and, in many areas, that wind varies in speed as well. A lot can happen during the time the trigger is being pulled as well as during the time of flight. Shooting in a calm/no wind scenario is a little misleading. Each shooter must consider their own conditions and as well as their own skill level when making these shots.

The deer you showed getting shot looked like the hit was midway back in the spine. She dropped, but would not be dead for quite some time, maybe not until eaten by coyotes and buzzards, AND might not be where she fell when you decided to go look for her. That was a #fail of the ethical shot challenge.

@operatorsanonymous do you have the whole video, or just the clip? The heart isn't very close to the "high shoulder" on a deer. You say you recovered her, so I will leave it at that.
@P0rtScann3r
@P0rtScann3r 2 күн бұрын
I'm with William, it looked like a mid back spine shot and you can't hit high shoulder and also get the heart. Anatomy on a deer doesn't work that way. Maybe you shot a magic Lee Harvey Oswald bullet. Or you got up to it, and it was still alive, and you shot it again in the high shoulder and then the heart.

My 308 load is 168 ELDM over VVN540, Lapua brass, 210 match primers at 2850fps in 22" barrels (I had 2 built - essentially clones). ELDM definitely works like any other hunting bullet on deer in my experience and they are cheaper than ELDX. My longest kill shot is 800 on a mule deer. I did learn that spin drift comes into play a bit more than I though. I dropped the buck but hit slightly right of POA.

Cool concept, but personally I don't think it's ethical to take 500 yard shots on game. Is it cool? sure, is it SOMETIMES what has to happen? Mmm really uo to you I guess. But personally if you can't get within 150 of deer, you probably arnt doin your part. Ive never personally had to ever shoot a deer past 200, and 98 percent of the time I've killed them within 80 and ive been hunting over 25 years. With my skill set, im good to 700 atleast, never tried further, but I just dont see the need while hunting. Alot can go wrong even as a skilled shooter.

@Gun_Dork im not in the mindset of paying to hunt, or hunting high fence. To me, that's just goin to an outdoor grocery store. That's almost not ethical to me for the simple fact some of those places the animals are use to seein people, meanin they don't really have as much fear of them. But to each there own, have a good one.

I really appreciated what you said about the springco buffer springs. I use a suppressed DDM4A1 usually with federal XM193 and at least once per range session I’ll have a failure to feed (usually from an initial bolt release, not very often during the firing sequence), I’ve mostly been solving this issue with more lubricant, would a stronger buffer spring also help or should I just stick with lubricating the hell out of it?

Criterion will check your headspace if you order from them. What if you order a criterion barrel from a different dealer. Is it something that needs to be checked by the armorer who is building your upper? That said, I have (3) BCM14.5s which i bought as complete uppers and I have a 13.7 from SOLGW. I dont know if those were checked, im assuming they did. But i ask because im thinking of buying a couple of Criterion barrels and pairing them up with SOLGW upper receivers and BCM rails.

Two questions on the KAC sky scraper. Can it be run reversed? For example, used as a LAM mount under the T2? Or does the T2 only mount one direction? In line with the first, if it can be run reversed, would a LAM have enough pic space to fit? For example, an EOTECH OGL?
