awesome, just what i was looking for. my husband keeps threatening to replace our old kitchen window w a new modern one that will open much easier but i like the old one, want to keep it. so i'm gonna be trying out this method when the weather gets better and i'm very hopeful about it after seeing this video. thanks so much!

This is a wonderful video. My daughter has just started getting into horsey stuff and I didn't want to spend tons on money on pre made toy stables. This is a wonderful, fun idea.

My little cottage will be 80 years old, pier and beam on a slope. I have one bedroom door that will intermittently close just fine and then a few months later won't catch to close. We laugh it off as ghost or gremlin. Will definitely give this a try. Thanks!

The strike on my garage door was over an inch too high, no way it was from the garage shifting that much. I think it was just some idiot that didn't know what they were doing, and they put a padlock on the outside to keep it closed 🤦‍♂️ chiseled out the slot and got it installed perfectly now 🤟

I actually had to LOOSEN some of the screws in the bottom hinge in order to get my bedroom door to close again, as tightening them made it worse. It's a very old apartment and both the door and walls are warped.

What works for me is this: I loosen all 3 hinges. Then I put some books to lift the door up on the opposite end. Then I re-tighten the hinges. It works great.

Thank you so much! My method was a chisel edge paint scraper (edge too thick), a small crow bar and a rubber mallet. Got window open just slightly. Decided it was hopeless and used the mallet to pound it closed again. I was using 3-in-1 oil to lubricate the window track. I will use your candle method. These aluminum frame windows in my apartment are pre-1970! But still, younger than I am! Thanks again!! Also, I just subscribed, activated the bell and gave you a thumbs up -- but one was not nearly enough, so 👍👍👍👍👍!

Not that easy when paint separated with clear on top and solid on bottom. Could get some of the solids to mix with the clear but not most of it even with a drill and metal mud and paint mixer. Unless you have hours to spare. Need to use the wife's blender, ha ha. Then there are fine mesh strainer paint bags either in 1 or 5 gallon sizes. Cheap and can be reused when cleaning it right away. I think it's better to stir it once a year before it gets solidified.

I love that !!! a brilliant idea, a screw lid is so much better, instead of the normal press down ,which is useless and is not effective, have to clean it each time, and get damaged and stuck , horrible.

Thanks to the cute man with the funny voice. Scoring below the plate worked on my security, outside door. I have very few tools, so I used a flathead, instead of a file, a heavy hammer, and gave the ol' girl (like you mights say) a good whack! When I tried to retighten the screws, it did like you said and brought everything back up again, so I repeated the process and it worked again. I will probably do the matchstick trick at a later date, but that's all for today. Tally ho!
