Have seen the results of many crashes, fatal and non, and folks who aren’t in the medical profession who go to help victims are my heroes. When you’re at work and you’re dealing with horrific scenes, you don’t think about anything other than working to save them and you can deal with most things. I had an occasion though when I came across an accident scene where a motorcyclist had just slammed at high speed into a car that was pulling out of a junction. Car did nothing wrong….biker came down a blind hill and t-boned him. I was the first car that arrived and at first couldn’t understand why there was bits of black and red plastic all over the road - the bike was destroyed and the biker was catapulted a good distance and landed on his back in a ditch. I heard him before I saw him and other than his jeans being ripped and his boots being in the road, he didn’t have a mark on him. My husband, who’s also a medic, and I got his helmet off and started cpr. What I’d heard was his last breath leaving him but I could see he was very young and I wanted to get this boy breathing. Anyway, ambulance and emergency doctor from hospital a mile away turned up and I left them to it. Sat in the car and saw a young lady walking up from the massive traffic jam and assumed it was a gawker. Turns out it was the victim’s fiance. They’d just gotten a house together and he was on his way to work. For a long time after, I was messed up. Smells of petrol and sound of motorbikes made me break out in panic. Couldn’t understand why years of blood and trauma hadn’t been an issue, but dealing with this young guy broke me. So, for civilians to step in and help makes me appreciate them.

I grew up in this city and lived not to far away and was in a bowling league at this bowling alley I remember when this happened because lots of kids would hang out there and play the arcade games with no adult supervision There was a notice on the front door right after this Everybody was on high alert

So I just saw brad Geiger in September 2024 sexually assaulted a 4 year old boy! He should have never been let out from this case! Sexual predators will always re-offend!

Keep the meds on the table when Cheallel isn't there!!! But when Cheryl comes to visit.....have Sara give her mother the pills herself which would be out of reach for Cheralle.....

I'm so glad that those 2 employees left the store just in time to be able to call 911 and that no one was hurt or killed. The Lord was truly with them all that night.

I’m so glad they saved just about everyone, but just imagine sitting on the toilet minding your own business and all of a sudden the train derails. That’s got to be pretty awkward. I love these stories. Thank you for sharing them.

Starting out as a dispatcher I’m sure isn’t an easy job and can be stressful. I’m glad that she was trained properly and that this situation was a happy ending.

Glad the kid survived and very important lesson learned is NEVER EVER leave young children unsupervised when they are taking a bath. The two kids at the end while helping with yard work look so cute in overalls.

The rapist, Bradley Thomas Geiger, now 53 years old, was arrested and charged in July of this year (2024) with 1st degree sexual assault of a 4 year old boy in Lincoln, NE. Guess the leopard hasn't changed his spots after all these years. His story is proof that once a violent criminal, always a violent criminal. There is no such thing as "correction" or "rehabilitation".
