Thank you so much for this. I am doing Duolingo and I’m on the section for possessives and it doesn’t explain ANYTHING. God bless you. I’ll watch your entire series to make my learning experience more thorough. Keep up the great work ❤. Mahalo nui

Aloha! Trying to find the "Hawaiian Language Co-page #" to retrofit computer for translation and printing in Hawaiian. The USA EPA Region 9 Environmental Justice and Civil Rights Indigenous Webinars described "Translation Science"; and "Language Justice" issues. It also appears that in many cases where the Indigenous Peoples in many lands were oppressed and not allowed to speak their own language. In the TMT Contested Case Hearing, the Hearings Officer Violated the law when she put the State of Hawai'i Language Access Coordinator "under orders not to allow a Hawaiian Language Interpreter".

My sister is now teaching her granddaughter. Love your videos continue to make them and maybe go a level higher to help build their confidence in speaking Hawaiian ❤❤❤

In Portuguese we use "este", "esse" and "aquele" (and the variants for female and plural (f and m. So, we have 12 diferent words) in the same way the Hawaiian.

Filipino and Indonesian both have the same construction in linking verb sentences. Adjective or noun first, followed by the subject. The way she explained it though was extremely insightful. I wish I could have heard it explained that way when I was studying Tagalog; it would have brought much clarity to the grammar.

Mahalo! I love your videos. I e learned so much. Question, I thought you only used “ko” for plural. Like ko koʻu makuahine. Only one mother or does that describe my 2 mothers?. It’s not just koʻu makuahine for a singular mother?

I am so glad I found your channel, what has been confusing for me about learning Hawai'ian is the unpredictable in Duolingo it is sometimes the same as the English and other times a sentence will be odd if literally translated so my struggle is knowing when this occurs. Grammar concepts are confusing in American English, so understanding them in other languages is hard for me.

Like many others here in the comments secrion, I am also learning through Duolingo. This grammar explanation is a necessary and helpful supplement to Duolingo. Or rather, Duolingo is a good supplement to this lesson. Now that I have the concept, drilling on Duolingo is less confusing. Thank you so much for this excellent lesson!
