I don't like criticizing Britain but we created a flawed discriminatory statelet in 1921 and it's police were infected with that discrimination and enforced it.

I'm from munster in Ireland . Sorry for my ignorance but I taught only Catholics suffered from Guilt. This was without doubt the greatest footballer ever . The Drink is curse I'm 59 now that same age as the Great man was when he Passed. I wish to God I never touched it. Some day I will visit George's Grave in Belfast.

This was the year Roy Mason became Northern Ireland. He expanded the R.U.C. and they took on a greater role in providing security.

Has the guy being interviewed by detectives been involved in some sort of betting scam?

Love this since the 1970s. Always on TV leading up to Christmas time. Beautiful music, I wish it was longer and knew what it's called.

Why _anyone_ chose to remain in the mad house that was Northern Ireland during 'the troubles' is beyond my comprehension!
@marklynch514913 күн бұрын
Is some of this staged? I can't imagine the R.U.C. allowing an interview of a suspect to be filmed during the height of the 'Troubles' 7:57 - 8:22.

Although I liked George a lot, I thought this funeral was far too elaborate. He wasn't a hero, he was a sportsman - and for a lot of years he wasn't even that!

You can see that despite the show of nonchlance and confidence he is in reality quite dead inside , and not happy. He was undoubtedly an always nice and polite person, and felt the need to behave as such, but you can see its more of an act than a genuine expression of will. You can also tell from his answers that his brain is a bit slow, and that the way each phrases he says dont link up very well together suggests his thought processes aren't very well ordered - even though he is clearly very good at attempting to hide this. Theres also that deadness too his eyes which suggests hes not quite there- a side effect of alcohol numbing your senses over time , like one hangover which builds up over time from drinking regularly. Althogh this kind of permanent lingering effect of the alcohol on the body is not severe in the short term, its definitely is distinguisuable in they way it makes you feel from having been sober for quite a while. Therefore, while he is completely sober in this interview , u can sense the long term affect of alcohol on his behaviour

This guy is the most selfish person ever. He ruined his wives lives . He ruined his kids life. And he took an donor organ and wasted it, cause of his selfishness. It could have been gone to a much more appreciative dying person. And why did the health industries make a organ available for a drunk?, same reason some of you useless brainless people still think he a hero. Just looking at his face makes me want to puke????

Very different than the later version- No questions. Did not win prizes and the box or cash. Just cash not to take box or box and it was one shot. Not come back tomorrow like it is here. I think I like this one better.

Most inappropriate soundtrack I've ever experienced. How is it relevant to what's on the screen?! Having muted the sound I could concentrate. I won a talent competition in about 1962 aged 11 at Butlins Saltdean. My father wouldn't let me go to the finals in London as he said I needed to concentrate on schoolwork. Very disappointed! I also won a table tennis competition, although I'd never played before and didn't know I'd won as I didn't understand the scoring! Beginner's luck definitely. I remember a Redcoat who was so good. She was short with short dark hair and had a huge personality. She made the holiday special for the children. My grandmother lived in Saltdean, so we usually stayed with her but two weeks at Butlins was a special treat and never forgotten.

He was my Coach at Soccer Camp when I was 13. Super Sweet Dude. He was reading down the roster and he got to my name… “Brennon McKibbin…. (MacGibson, as he pronounced it. “ARE YOU IRISH..?” As he asked me. “Right then…” And then when I was playing, he’d be on the sidelines saying, yelling at me… “GET IT!!!! GET IT, GIBBY!!! GIBBY MY SON..!!!” I didn’t even know who he was. But he was a good person to me. LEGEND I’m Proud to have him be my Coach. And to recognize me.
