I think it's important to stick to stocks that are immune to economic policies. AI stocks that have the potential to power and transform future technologies. It seems AI is the trajectory most companies are taking, including even established FAANG companies. Maybe there are other recommendations?

I bought into NVIDIA around September last year because my financial advisor recommended it to me. She said the company is selling shovels in a gold rush. It accounted for almost 80% of my market return this year.

@@KevinCampbell-p2o That's a great analogy and I love the insight. Professionals could make a really big difference in investing, and I think everyone should have one. There are aspects of market trends that are difficult for the untrained eyes to see.

There is one important factor for me. SCHD has poor performence because of low exposure to IT. Thats why I am buying it. My largest possitions are VOO, QQQ and than SCHD. I have already large exposure to technology, so its very nice diversification. If I can choose only one ETF, than I will prefer DGRW, DGRO … But as many other investors I have SP500 and nasdaq, so I dont need more exposure to AI boom.

Nice to see this here. A lot of folks downplay the role of advisors until they’re burned by their own emotions-no offense. I remember last year, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, so I researched licensed advisors and thankfully came across Loraine. Just own *SCHD* to counterbalance my invest in 2 single tech stocks (2 out of the mag7, not NVDA, not TSLA). Dividend yield/growth of SCHD is a nice side effect 😊

SCHD and ViG are my base. Then I have QQQ, Svol and SPYT for monthly. The Plan is to get the monthlys to the point they roll a few Shares a year via reinvested Dividend while I actually feed the SHCD Machine. Year 5 I’m just going to feed the Monthly Payers Dividends into SCHD for the next Compounding Phase. I’m not going to be Rich but I’m not doing 40+ hours in my 60s if I can avoid it. I might not end up Wealthy but I’ll be damned if I’m not going to at least be comfortable.

I prefer to invest in large cap companies which have economic moats, good cash flow and strong balance sheets such as AAPL, SCHD, NVDA and Barclays.

The issue is people have the "I want to do it myself mentality" but not equipped enough for a crash, hence get burnt. Ideally, advisors are best for investing jobs, and at first-hand encounter, my portfolio has yielded over 300% since 2020 just after the pandemic to date.

Katherine Nance Dietz is the licensed advisor I use. Just google the name and you’d find necessary details. To be honest, I almost didn't buy the idea of letting someone handle growing my finance, but so glad I did.

Where do you guys find good monthly dividend stocks? Are you going for big payouts/expensive stocks or small payouts/owning lots of stocks?

@@Organdonator depends on your risk tolerance and time horizon.if you have a 20 plus year horizon then it might be a good consideration to invest more risky because you have more time to gain anything that could potentially be lost and still come out on top just depends on where your at financially as well.

I would say my first milestone would be 80 to 100 a quarter for me. That would be enough to buy a new share of SCHD each quarter. After that, about 450 to 500 a quarter. After which, I have not even thought about it lol.

@@ethanslade3150 Some of the building blocks in my portfolio are SPYI and QQQI. I also have a large position in JEPI and JEPQ and my biggest holding of a single stock is Realty Income.
