loved the concept and the first 2 games where a blast..... shame where it ended urgh , encase anyone wonders the first gives you the most freedom , the second has some player comforts but saddly also started the mutilation of some of that delicious player freedom and the ...abomination.. fixed cam railroad crap supposed to be a fourth instalment , dont look at it dont waste time think about it , if someone forces a copy on you sterilise your rig at once and if you cant purge it ,put it out of the misery so it not has to endure existing containing such trash strength of both overlord 1+2 ..good ambiance and characters personality with music to match it with surprisingly consistent plot examples positives of overlord 1. 1 complete player freedom within the world , infuse your weapons yoru armour how ever the fk you want aka.. want a armour that makes you 99% resistant to blunt force ? go for it.. want a helmet that leet you have 100 minions to order to charge ? go for it 2. stylish and easy to use spells negatives of overlord 1. 1. hmm.... give me moar ? ^^ 2. camera can be a little bit fidgety at times Positives of Overlord 2. 1It retains the core game play that was the foundation of the first game. 2the addition of minion 'sprawles' with a reaper servant leeting you resurrect those lvl 10 minions that you spent the last 2 houers looting armor & weapons from fights with etc is a very neat addition. 3'rd taking over a town do leet you have a delicious organic in world way to gear up fresh minions if expanding your personal 'strike force' or rather gearing new ones then resurrect old ones Negatives of OVerlord 2. 1The gear customisation mechanics of the first game is replaced by a 'ladder' progression of preset gear you more buys then 'makes' in your armory. 2Your spells is far lees a versatile edge for your overlord and more a 'utility' tool for your minions and your minions only..no minions to spare = extremly limited use of your spells aka no classic fireballs here. 3compared to the first game..the 'window' to explore the game world once you 'found' the last minion type to circumvent all kinds of environment hinders is very..very..short. 4th wish its mp aspect worked as smoothly on the web like it did spit screen with the 360's ...dam it was fun having a while ship crew of fire throwing imps and beat the drums to ram my bro's ship fighting over 'bases' so all in all 1 is a classic of core stuff that becomes a priceless gem when combined , the 2'nd a garantie to be a joy to play ,it only lost 1 star on my part due to how the extremely customisation inviting mechanics for your gear and more 'diverse/practical to use' spell choices in the first game not could be found in the 2'nd one.
