I trained in Kenpo for seld defence and there was never any real sparing, I knew no better at the time but it did not sit well with me. Now I run the club, we glove up and spar for an hour, no points and no breaks. I always wondered how many so called reality based martial clubs don't spar. We now utilise the martial art to learn how to use weapons and then spend most of our time practicing what lee is teaching. We keep more students and the students, including myself all feel much more confident in our ability to protect ourselves. 41 years I have trained and the last 4 or 5 years studying Lee's inventory has been worth more than the previous 35 years. The man is not just an action man, he is a bloody word magician. Everytime you listen to him, something hits home that makes you better.

Read ‘Bhagavad-Gita As It Is’ (author: A.C Bhaktivedanta). This sacred ancient book teaches the spiritual path of violence and warfare.

After about 15 years in the gym, if someone tries to stare me down I just get real amused like it is the funniest thing ever. It wrecks a "tough guy" when in one second flat he realises the guy packed with muscle is treating him like a comedy show.

Thank you for your very practical and useful videos. I have 1 question: If I'm in a situation where I can't run away like with a relative or in an elevator, after trying to de-escalate the situation but failing, he becomes more and more aggressive so I have to make a decision. intended to attack first to have enough time to escape. But my biggest concern is that if some of my attacks by punch or palm or elbow or head aren't strong enough to knock him down and then he backs away, pull out weapon and attacks me, that's a very bad situation. My question is: when deciding to attack first, should I proactively grab or lock one of his hands first (the hand that I think is likely to draw the weapon) and then execute my attack? Can you make a video about this
