Everything you have said is real. I live my life with this understanding, a quote from the great fighter of the 70s/80s gary spiers , " i would rather be on a manslaughter charge ,then be the main attraction down the morgue " i have trained in many martial arts, fighting arts, military unarmed, and worked 15 years on doors, so the reality of what you say confirms what i believe. Thank you for a reality check.

Thank you for this, saying it as it is, as usual. As an old guy (56), I can get away (in the UK) with carrying a walking stick, have been studying and practicing some old school Le Canne, there's a lot of good, simple and useful stuff there....

Multiple armed assailants have changed the game here in the USA. Luckily, I live in a free state where self defense is the law.

As a fellow American I can garuantee you that your " Free State" belief is 100% delusional Your response to a thoughtful question about the stages of violence and how a rational person can manage that threat Shows you how really unprepared you are for the real thing- or it's legal aftermath

I live in MI and got arrested for unarmed self-defense against a junkie on my own property. I weant through a full year of hell after 3 days in jail and couldn't leave the state until the case was dropped. I used a Gulitine choke they wanted felony strangulation less than murder. 20 years. I had the entire ultracation on video showing him as the instigator. They dropped the charges.

Multiple armed assailants has been a thing in south africa since 1994. I believe we have some of the best training methods and trainers sincs its been quite a ride. Luckily we can carry firearms and getting good with that is a very good force negator

Lee, Do you have a book where you have mentioned about your experiences of working the doors. Would love to read it
@zufkad68303 ай бұрын
Lee wrote a book published in 2006 called "Safe on the Door: The Complete Guide for Door Supervisors"
@Ayyar13Sid3 ай бұрын
@@zufkad6830 Yep. I am aware of that. I have seen limited pages of it on the Internet. But that book is more inclined towards training for door security, right? Not exactly his personal experiences. I don't know he probably might have shared some to give the reader a better understanding of what he is trying to teach. Don't know. Haven't really read it.
@zufkad68303 ай бұрын
@@Ayyar13Sid i haven't read it myself. Just had browsed through it. I guess he used some of his experience to write it but i don't know how much he goes into details about "anecdotes" and personal stories in it. Hopefully, someone else reading this will be able to clarify this point.

I have written many books. Some of them talk about previous events if and when relevant to whatever I am teaching. I am not a fan of war stories, in my experience those who talk about such things for some kind of gratification are usually either full of shit or exaggerating in order to make themselves look more than what they are. The book safe on the door has some stories that again are relevant to what I am discussing. Again, just my opinion but those truly capable tend not to brag if that makes sense. In short I have had more experience than most and less than some others but enough to know myself in the face of such things! Lee M

We need civilian militia techniques! The militia is a movement in the U.S. that would be interested in what you have. The ones that get arrested kind of go rogue, do or say something inappropriate, so they’re seen. Many others are every day people, that work, live like anyone else. Just regular people but are aware of the bad people and bad intentions!
