The only issue is guitars made with two piece bridge set up neck is set at an angle to allow for the string height. As can be seen at the end of this video when you see how high off the body the Floyd is to compensate this. I do like the routing jig! That was legit!!
@JDoct1522 күн бұрын
What did you use to finish the fingerboard? It's smooth as spit without needing to sand it a million times; that was amazing
@rodneysmart977425 күн бұрын
Looked like the steel strings pulled up the bridge. Nice, tidy repair and cleaning, that fretboard was grungy.

Looks really good! I usually do five somewhat light coats, drying about ten minutes between, then on the sixth and final coat, I lay it on so that the entire area looks wet. Then i let that sit for two days and hit it with 800 then 1000 grit wet paper. Then I go over it with 4x steel wool. I usually can stop there, but if I feel like doing the whole cut and buff scenario, I wait about two months. But typically it looks pretty good after the steel wool.

Ay man awesome job, I just routed my string thru guitar and am having major problems with string height, I recessed it into the body and seems to be way too low for the neck angle, any words of wisdom you can float my way !?

Can I ask for advice? I read somewhere that it's good to give a decal light layer of lacquer before soaking it in water. Should I do it, or you don't recommend it?

Rather pointless installing a roller nut on a neck with string tree ? .......... Apologies you remove it 👍
@GuitarBassCigarАй бұрын
Its a shame the roller nut isn't the proper width for a standard Strat neck rather than having to permanently alter it. Nice video!

This is a bad design, with a wrong description, and a clickbait title. Hollow body guitars are not designed and made like this. This guitar's body won't resonate because the body wood needs to be only a few millimeters thick, and with a smooth surface inside as well, which you didn't bother. Yet, contrary to what you say in the video description, hollow body guitars actually sustain less than a solid body, and hollow body guitars sound warmer than a solid body, not brighter.

How will you change the battery?
@Bluefinger2 ай бұрын
You need to take off or at least loosen the strings so they are clearing more or less the whole soundhole. But the preamp has a battery charge indicator so you don't have to take any chances and know in advance if you are going to make it through the gig.

Gorgeous build, my friend. Love the natural finish-glad you didn’t paint it. And the fact that it’s only 1,947 grams is insane! That’s a little more than half the weight of my Strat, at almost 3,500 grams. Bravo friend, bravo.
