Don't forget a tarp better than bringing plastic into the enviroment

Yeah as long as it goes out and gets used again. I'm always using one under the tent. Although i noted some people saying it's not necessary, they must have fat wallets LOL.

Guess there is more than 1 way to fillet a kitten *looks at Armada base coated in plasti dip and then sprayed directly for "ease of switching seasonal camo", and now looks like molting reptile* Lesson- painting on any smooth surface you always need to add a "tooth" for the paint to hold onto/scuff the surface w scotchbrite" That bein said, the hatsan factor sniper long wont be gettin plastidip 😅 thanks for the idea mate

That is stupid. They should allow archery hunting at least. Is this in America? Are you an Asian-Australian that moved to America? Not trying to be disrespectful or nosy just curious about your story. That is anomalous combination if so 😂.

The saw teeth on the back of that thing reminds me very much of the saw teeth that on the back of the tops steel Eagle 107 d knife which I happen to have. Alternating saw teeth cut pretty good. Looks like they cut pretty well on that one you have also from half-breed blades.

Thanks for the video! Are bio-resins (for example the gbdh2000) safer to use during a shower?
@BushCampingTools2 күн бұрын
Hi I don't know anything about these supposedly "bio-resins" This term could mean almost anything, particularly normal oil products used to make plastics are in fact of biological origin if we wan to be correct. No organism can break down any such polymers as they are never encountered, so I'm not so sure about this other than they may be less stable in UV light and hence break down more easily but I certainly don't want a watch which is made from easily degradable plastics. See this article: www.colorado.edu/ecenter/2021/03/10/bioplastics-are-they-good-they-seem#:~:text=Bioplastics%20are%20made%2C%20at%20least,as%20growth%20with%20more%20diversity.

Question for you. Between the Doberman, Tuscan, and DMP, since you've used and reviewed all 3, which one is best for doing outdoor / camp tasks? I'm looking for a nice ER camp knife.

How about Citizen YP (Yellow Plated) does it contain real gold (Au)?
@BushCampingTools6 күн бұрын
I'afraid I have no idea however, any "gold" if real would be in the form of an alloy of gold and not pure gold as it would simply be too soft and wear off quickly

Do you like it better than the Satre? I am undicided which one I should buy. Do you recommand one over the other?
@BushCampingTools8 күн бұрын
The satre is better for birds and small game. other than that I find I grab either one if nit out hunting.

in another comment you mentioned the Doberman IV preforming better but how would you compare it to the Selvans? also hows the handle? that jimping and such not too aggressive on bare skin? very watchable video btw.
@BushCampingTools9 күн бұрын
Hi there, I think the Selvans and the DobermanIV from my experience with these two knives, especially the Dobermann IV over the most years of these two; perform better for outdoor tasks such as seen on this channel, eg camping hiking and hunting tasks, over the Tuscan. The Tuscan's primary use I would say is def military because it is so thick and strong it could be used as a lever/pry bar if you had to, easiest blade to sharpen on the go, etc. Here of course, I will show military end point knives which I think can make a transition into civilian activities for those who like such blades and wonder how well they might function away from their designated market. As you have seen, one can prepare wild caught food, hack into large palms for the edible vegetable material aka "Palm heart", things a fishing knife does of course and machete but now one knife. For weeks I used the Tuscan without any gloves and as you can see wet hands in many instances, I had no issues with the G10 handle scales nor with the gimping (fairly aggressive looking but none the less, rounded edges (so it cannot be acute enough for any steel striking). I have to say though I have pretty tough skin on my hands from years of Judo and climbing etc. Takes a lot to get a blister on my hands. The Selvans, you may have seen me debone a leg of Goat, no problems at all even though it is not what I would call a hunting/butcher's knife in any way shape or form but for me I did it with ease and I think this showed me the knife despite its large size, can be nimble enough to perform such tasks but also do something a hunting knife can’t do and that is hack down a tree. The thing which appealed to me regarding the Tuscan was that instead of featuring a “persuader” type butt end/glass breaker type end, it was flat and this is a good thing for outdoor knives where once may want to apply pressure with the palm of the hand and the last thing you need is a pointed butt end. Of course, with practice a more “acutely ending” butt end of a knife one can of course perform many outdoor tasks with ease, as I have shown many times using the Fulcrum, Fulcrum NFT and Fulcrum S and other models from ER over the last 13 years. Without a doubt though, the Forprene grips are more comfortable by default as being able to absorb more shock, simply because they are elastomeric Vs the unyielding G10. Also for cold environments (sub-zero), the Forprene grips will win out due to the fact there is zero tang exposed to freeze one’s hands to if you lose your gloves in the snow. So, from this standpoint the Tuscan should be used with gloves if operating in sub-zero temperatures (like for any exposed tang knife). I hope this sort of answers your question. BCT
@SkeleCCXL9 күн бұрын
@BushCampingTools it certainly does. preciate the thorough answer 👍. I suppose I ought to have been more specific but indeed it's proficiency at outdoor tasks was/is my interest, so thanks.

Great tip, not only in the snow but also at the water. My smartphone fell into the lake a while ago, do you have any good tip to secure a phone? Cheers. 👍
@BushCampingTools12 күн бұрын
I noticed a while back I saw these adds appearing on my insta feed about waterproof housing for smart phone, not sure if they had a attachment hole etc. But there are small boxes from Pelican, as in Pelicases and i was thinking myself about one of these, of course if the phone is in them they are too big for the pocket. Yeah a mob phone is a big problem around water for sure. many thanks for watching and commenting.
@Wastelander1311 күн бұрын
@@BushCampingTools The Pelican and Otter cases are interesting indeed but as you said, to bulky for the pant's pocket. Another option is to put a piece of ranger bands at the middle of the phone and secure it with a length of paracord to the belt or jacket etc. I think that should work. Thank you for your reply and stay safe. 👍
