In these Inflationary Times. HERE IS AN EASY WAY TO DO IT MY FRIENDs Use any hard Bar Soap, Tallow or Glycerin based Soaps out there? To fit in any Mugs or Cups? Like" (Mitchells' Wool Fat or Arko Sticks. Just to name a few of them?) You can mix and match your old Soaps? Cut up the soap on a paper plate, pour your soap chunks with the shavings from the Paper Plate into a Mug, cover the soap with a small amount of water, and microwave your soap. For about a minute or so? Place a paper plate under your mug in case it bubbles out of your cup? If it foams up, STOP. The water keeps it from burning itself up. (DON'T OVER WATER YOUR SOAP??) Easy, does it? Let cool don't want to Crack the Mugs or Cups you're using? (You just want it to Congeal in your Mug or Cup') it is very hot and watery'''''. let it cool in PLACE'. after it cools, put it in a Sunny Window, until the Soap hardens? When using your soaps, use Dry Brush Less Water. It thickens the soap, making it easier to use on your face. Save your Money, spend it on your wife, don't listen to the shave Mafia. It saves me time and Money. Wheelchair Larry Happy New Year. Your Mileage may vary?

@knifesharpeningnorway Hi, thanks for your question 👍. I have to say, I am really impressed with the quality of my DD razors. Really good quality 👌. I had my razors shipped directly to John June for honing as John's edges are second to none🙂. I can't comment on Drew's edge as I have never tried them. Hope that helps😎

@MrFrancispiche Hi Francis👋 I originally only intended to take a month or two off, however, as I was no longer buying new gear, I felt my videos were becoming very repetitive, using the same gear and saying the same things. Since then, I still haven't bought any new gear lol. I also care for my 92 year old mother and have had a few health issues over the last year. The short break that I originally intended, has now become more permanent, I am afraid. If I do start buying new gear, I may put up a video again but it may be a while. Thanks for checking in on me though, I really appreciate it🙂

@@MrGShave Sorry to hear about your retirement, but my favorite videos don't require new equipment, except maybe other blades. I really like videos that compare blades, and I think I'm not the only one. You could make a video like: the most unrated blade! It's a suggestion, and if you're out of ideas, I can make other suggestions. Among all the youtubers who make shaving videos, you are my favorite.

I use a wide stick Alum Block similar to Geofatboys wide stick but for what’s it worth I never emmerse the tip of my Alum Block under water because the moisture that get under the container to the very bottom will erode and ruin the Alum Stick causing the stick to break off so I find just wetting my face and than applying the Alum Block keeps it lasting far longer. Sorry to be long winded again great shave. Cheers.

Nice video sir G. 👍🏽 Have been following your videos, and honestly, I reviewed this one because I was about to do a head shave with my yaqi tile razor today. Done say an hour ago. This is about my 3rd head shave with the Yaqi Tile, and I can almost say that this is the best head shave I have ever gotten with a razor. With good care and patience, I achieved the closest BBS ever on my dome, and it sure feels so good. I am yet to hear of a better head shaver than the Yaqi Tile, though I have not had a wide range of razor varieties (it's better on the dome than my Rockwell 6c). My razor blade of choice is the Gillette Nacet, which I also rate very very high; 3 passes and a general touch up perfects my head shave with this razor. ❤😊

The reason the Kai feels more aggressive is because the Kai blade is wider (22.18 mm) vs the Feather (22.0 mm). That explains more blade feel on the Kai.

I used to use warm/hot water, but have now changed to cold water and find it better. Use both the leaf shave & twig - great combo. Good tip on the bowl in sink then down the loo - makes perfect sense. Trevor - Kidderminster

In my usage of 7 O'clock Permasharp Stainless they are awesome sharp blades, it feels very smooth in the first shave almost overshadowes the sharpness but the twist comes from second shave in which the blade becomes noticeably sharper and continues to retain sharpness till the 5th shave after which becomes smooth. They have turned into my go to blades as it offers extremely close shaves without any irritation for 5 consecutive shaves. For ₹3/ $0.04 a blade they offer extremely high value for money.

Hi Brennan👋 Thanks for subscribing. It is much appreciated 😃 Choosing a blade that is suited to your beard type is quite subjective. It will depend on the razor you use and how that blade pairs with the razor. My immediate thoughts are Kai, Feather, and Nacet (I am not sure if these are being produced anymore) . In the end, everyone is different. You will have to experiment with blade/razor combinations. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Wonderful video bro. 👍🏾 Was really eager to hear your verdict bcos of my love for the Gillette Nacet, which was the very first blade I used when I started wet shaving. It was so good even in my gently learning days, and I stayed with it. Rockwell blades that came with my Rockwell 6C were so disappointing and horrible first time I used them, but funny enough, my second pack of Rockwell which I ordered months after the first ones came out so smooth I was shocked. I feel Rockwell has very recently improved on their blades. Meanwhile, Gillette Nacet is just a solid go-to blade all the time👌🏾👍🏾😊
