How does JM press help brachialis pain when it’s a tricep dominant exercise? I figured most elbow pain in the upper middle to outer arm. I understand the tricep stabilizes those muscles but then that would mean any tricep exercise would do the job. But specifically JM press is always prescribed, but I am failing to understand how it alleviates and can solve brachialis pain. Is it really just causing that much pressure that it also builds up strengthen the connective tissue of the brachialis in a way that supports Arm Wrestling ? I understand if peoples elbows are hurting in the actual tricep tendon from Arm Wrestling . I could see how this would work, but I don’t believe most people are having tricep tendon pain. They are usually having brachialis tendinopathy. This is not a medical question by the way I just wanna understand.
@toddhutchings9064 күн бұрын
Before writing all of that you could have tried them and seen from yourself. The JM Presses rehab and ultimately strengthen the tendons. It puts the tendons in a extreme stretch before you contract them. How it works on the micro level I don’t know. I guess it is a superior circulation mechanism
@PooF-All3 күн бұрын
I am hoping it is user error because I have not found long-term release from doing them only short term from the blood flow. They don’t seem to make my upper arm pain go away, but I could see how if someone had a tricep it would help. I do believe you are accurate and I am going to attempt doing them again and see if I just need to adjust my form or something and I’m going to document it as well. I always appreciate that. You always reply to everybody. Thank you. You are my favorite AW btw!

I got a set of these last year from him at a tournament in Lubbock. One thing I found that gave that pressure that you were talking about is using a handle attachment I use my mazuranko one with my pulley, coming from the top and then I use a resistance band around my thumb at table height which I connect to the base. I still feel room for improvement but it has helped it feel more natural. Hope that helps anyone looking to get better using these awesome tools!! 💪🏼

Ecery word is true here. From using wrong terms, interchanging force, power, strenght, even pressure and people think all of those mean basically the same. And about "percentages", to achieve 10% improvement in one year, for a person thats allready super strong and decades into serious training, is not even good, its great. Not to say an epic achievement. The thing is, at least I think, what people think when they say "Im on 90%" basically its just to express how everything is going on. So, when they go for couple matches, no pauses, they are good, and then they have next match preparations, no injuries, hit all the planned trainings, not just do, but having aa real will to do them, do them "with joy", see even some nice improvement and lets say they are on winning streak, they come super confident, thats what people think "I was 100% ready". Basically if its everything the same, but they did some trainings just because they must altrough they jhave no will, and they come to the match lets say without that much fire (perhaps the opponent aint inspiring that much), people will say "Im 95%". And so on. If they had slightest injury, a common flu for a week, they will say "Im 90%". If they come from pause, injury, they will allways say Im whatever even if everything went perfect. It means nothing but"a basic description" where they are.

Mr Todd Golfer's elbow is a tear in the muscles connecting the elbow. What natural treatment or exercise do you recommend? It hurts so much I can't do side press training.
@toddhutchings9068 күн бұрын
Golfers elbow is a tear in the tendons. Healing that is usually high rep work, rest, massage etc. Preventing it is not getting pinned in practice, JM Presses, Hellbows.

How the heck do you recover from that kind of split? I train Sunday- blood flow light easy 100 reps rise,pro,sup,rev,chop. Tuesday- biceps. ISOs Thursday- wrist. Pro, rise, rev, sup. Sat- table time. 30-45 mins actual pulling time. I train Upper/Lower split for actual strength training.
@toddhutchings90613 күн бұрын
You are only training biceps and wrists? I’m not convinced ‘blood flow’ training is effective.
@crepesaresupreme407513 күн бұрын
@ correct. Biceps being barbell curls, hammer curls, and reverse curls. Finish with isometric holds/pulses. Wrist training would be starting with 30 reps rising, pronation, supination. Then multispinner doing a some cupping high and low. Then a wrist wrench to relatively toast my cup. Then do some pronation relatively heavy. Finish with supination work. Outside of arm wrestling specific I do a solid upper/lower training split to be strong. I find my tendons struggle to recover as fast as my muscles.

Weight lifting has very poor correlation to armwrestling. John Brzenk did little to no weight lifting. Powerlifters, and Strongmen can do very well with weight lifting, and have a very hard time transitioning to arm wrestling. None of your lifts measure speed, power, or coordination.

@EvolutionaryE17 күн бұрын
@@toddhutchings906 would you agree there are multiple ways to hold the multispinner? Would you agree that when holding the multispinner as it is typically used, one of the forces you are resisting is a rotational/torque force trying to “spin” the handle? But a much more interesting question is: what would uncle Todd rename the “multispinner”?
@toddhutchings90617 күн бұрын
@ I like what you are doing here. But, spin, is colloquially accepted as meaning motion, as opposed to torque, which is a turning force but does not require motion. I would call it Molly, but marketing would change it to something involving , torque, wrist, arm wrestling, training. Probably end up with TorqueWrist or TorkRist or TorqReest <trademark> 😂

Todd , would you like to pull Devon for the title match ? And are you planning on doing that ?David might be a stylistically difficult opponent for you because of explosive side pressure hook like Rustam babayev but you might be the only one in 105kg who possess capability to beat Devon as you are comfortable in pulling with compromised wrist . In 95kg class only Irakli and Rustam can be a hurdle for you and most likely you will get that belt .
