This won't happened if the owner knew what to do. He needs a catch can! Needs a low noack oil. Needs water injection from snows performance.
@LakeBuilt10 күн бұрын
If would have definitely helped. The EGR is really the culprit on this one. It literally injects exhaust soot back into the intake Manifold
@Good-luck-Jonathan10 күн бұрын
@@LakeBuilt It does so for very good reason. This was a Gen 2. On the Gen 3 engines, they went to a post DPF EGR so far less soot in the intake. Soot normally would pass threw and not cake on. Once oil is in the intake threw the PCV system you see what happens with that caking. It would not been anything like this if you stop oil getting into the intake. The EGR lowers NOx by cooling the intake charge. It only works under part throttle cruise. It also increase MPG slightly because it reduces pumping lose allowing for more efficient combustion only under part throttle. More so on a gas engine. The way to keep things clean is with a catch can and good oil low noack. Then an additive that boosts Cetane. More the better for more complete combustion for less soot. A Fuel Borne Catalyst like this one betterdiesel.com/. This helps alot with burning soot out at lower temps. Make sure the engine is operating at peak with no check engine issues. Also use a platinum DEF to keep the DEF injector clean. Peak or Travelers makes some. Walmart or Tractor Supply have a great price. After all this the last best thing is water injection. It is amazing. Steam cleans the whole intake system like new while getting EGTs down up hills or hard driving, towing. Give a pump in MPG underload also.

Hi, Im currently working on making about 450-500whp on my is300. I decided to go with GT3582R turbo, forged rods, 2JZ-GTE headgasket, some 1000cc injectors, LP340 fuel pump ( i know i need some fuel regulator and some details fuel related. Im going to do 2 maps, one for 330 ish hp and the second one for the 450+ goal. Even though I did some research, could you tell me if im missing something important engine related? also, I wonder ifoil cooler for the engine is worth doing for this kind of power?
@LakeBuilt19 күн бұрын
Hey man, for that power goal what you have listed will be plenty strong. As far as an oil cooler goes you don't need one at all, there are 1000+ hp 2jzs out there that aren't running them. So not necessary at around 450hp. But if you want to run one you definitely can, it definitely will help the oil temps.

@LakeBuilt3 ай бұрын
@tonystark9082 so you can build a 2jz GE into a more reliable/higher hp rated engine then a stock 2jz GTE is. Price wise you'll be spending about the same to build a GE then to buy a GTE in most cases, it'll actually be cheaper to just build your existing GE engine. The GE vvti cylinder head also flows more air compared to a GTE head also so that's a plus.
