Without taking away from the skill and rhythm it takes to do this, it’s genuinely incredible that the feeds on some vintage pens keep up the way they do. Would/could you carry this around with you daily without it losing much ink into the cap? I find my really wet writers leak the most with temperature and pressure changes, though I don’t really have that problem in general.

i agree. the red-black mottled hard rubber was the most interesting and pretty material Waterman ever used. i enjoy seeing the different pens made from it, and collect photos of them. they're so unique from one another in a way that the later rippled ebonite pens aren't.

Rhodia sucks. I recommend Midori or Cosmo Air Lite.

Sorry, I don’t understand what you mean with the V or ridge on the bottom of the nib. And I can’t see any difference between the nibs in the picture at 11:04.

I’ve found that a drop of water onto the nib gets the ink going really quickly. The water just sucks the ink towards it. Guess you could dip the nib after filling the pen to do the same thing but I find it just drips ink splotches

I bought one used a few years ago I paid like $35 the cord melted on the dash how lol idk the sun so ay it was put away for like a year or so until today I pulled it out rigged it melted some back straight a little now it works but ordered a knock off good reviews on a cord from Amazon so ya I'm pumped🤙
