Everything is so clean, nice and ordered. Westerners can learn a lot from Japan. I wish Britain was more like this, more cultured.

Tried Sushiro at Tiong Bahru , very delicious but ridiculously expensive. 11 plates of sushi actually costs me more than $60

Why is Ramen expensive? Typically in Asia, noodle soups are usually one of the cheap food, but i find in Japan, it is cheaper to eat a bento box which has more food

from my experience, coco's curry is just "okay" but whenever i go to the smaller stores, it seemed to taste far better. i remember a curry shop in a train station that was probably the best i had ever had in my life. have you had this experience as well? also, would you have any idea what those places may be doing to give it a better flavor?

I’m starting to think as an introvert I should move to Japan. If only the working environment was better. I love the culture and customs and how they treat one another.

I'm crying because in the US $38 is one steak, a side dish, a salad, and a drink. All of that looks amazing!

Thank you for sharing. That was cool. You taught me about the different Ramen per region, interesting. I also prefer Tonkatsu, my second favorite is Miso. The Chashu pork here (Southern California) is always fat with a tiny bit of pork. I must have an egg in my ramen to fully enjoy. Your food looks delicious!

Thank you for the Video. What a pity. My original intention was to see how you eat Chashu. I have no idea how to handle it or how Japanese handle it, so I eat it in one piece (I am not yet skilled with chopsticks)

I've never understood the preoccupation people have with the "way" you eat a food. Just do it how you want. Slurping is not rude and as a westerner it doesn't bother me when others do it, but just because I don't slurp doesn't mean I don't like it. Every time I've tried it I end up with broth all over my face and mouth LOL. I'm a little jealous how you do it without that happening.

There is a wonderful place in Osaka called the Osaka Museum of Housing and Living. Also if you can, visit a Sake Museum. We went to Gekkeikan Okura Sake Museum (their peach wine is really really smooth and sweet!) and the place where it was located was in a very traditional neighborhood so go early so you can take your time walking around. There are also a lot of nearby places to eat that would be worth the experience. When in Dotonbori, take a break and try some of the street food and don't forget to have some melon pan. And please support family shops, the homemade ones are crunchy outside, incredibly soft in the inside, sweet and absolutely delicious especially with tea or coffee.

I always slurp my ramen soup. I live in Düsseldorf / Germany. Most of the Japanese in Europe live in this city. There are countless japanese ramen restaurants in Düsseldorf. Anyone who slurps is in good company.

Watching this type of content trying to understand why ramen in my workplace city is different than my home city. Not just the taste and the topping, but the experience of restaurant it self is far cry. Turn out, my workplace city is most likely follow the direction of Fukuoka style and my home city is follow Tokyo. And what baffle me is ramen in japan is street food rather than mid-luxury food in my nation. And there is no pure original ramen, because there are too many variation. Just like how my nation develop soooooooo many noodle dish that really different from each other. This, I can relate. Now I can eat ramen is peace without concern do the place I eat is authentic or not because there is never were. The most authentic ramen is with pig broth, and my nation is mostly muslim.
