This is pretty cool! I was somewhat into modeling about 16-17 years ago, (not professionally), i mastered the original Z-Modeler back then, it was pretty basic, but it was all i needed. Now i'm planning to get a 3d printer, and i need my rusty skills refreshed, and wow Blender is pretty awesome! You can do a bunch of stuff in a few minutes that took back then a whole afternoon! It's pretty crazy actually! Edit: Great tutorial btw, its as clear and comprehensive as it can be, exactly what i was looking for! 🥂

2:51 Little note, if you want to convert the poles of a circular face on a cylinder into quads (so the triangle slices to quads), just delete all those faces, select the edge loop, then go to the 'Faces' menu and click "Grid Fill", and mess with the offset and such til you have what you need. It's such a life saver! It sometimes doesn't work depending on the number of verts in the edgeloop, but it'll help a lot of the time!

bro thank you so much, I wanted a quick tutorial to spark my interest in 3d again, something not too beginner oriented and not too complex. This tutorial was perfect, and has me hyped to do more! Thank you again :D

5:19 if your bottom vertices don’t straighten out it’s because you still have the proportional tool on, so turn it off

I am far more comfortable learning with this well put together blender tutorial, vs ones I couldn't sit pass 10 minutes to view. This video makes the learning retention much more achievable.💜✨️
