I'm a bit more cynical. A lot of these problems seem to happen after updates to the software from Oculus. It's almost as if they're deliberately scuppering these headsets to try to force people to upgrade to a newer headset. You may think I'm crazy, but it's exactly the same scenario as a big mobile phone provider using os upgrades to knobble older phones. Stranger things have happened....

That these things are approved for production is just insane. I had the exact same issue and send back my full rig because I couldn’t get it to work

I got this when I bought my Quest 3 and I've found it great; really pleased I got it. I always use it and completely forget it's there. There has hardly been a time when I completely ran out of battery and had to put the Quest down. My quest 3 itself has hardly ever gone below about 60%; the battery use stress is with the Zyber. If I'm in a pinch though (Batman release leading to some play hours), I charge the 2 batteries separately, and that way you half the charge time.

A great way to see the difference that compression makes for sim racing is to load up a motorbike helmet cam youtube video in the countryside (grassy) on a 1080p panel and switch between 1080p and 2k or 4k in the youtube player. The 2k+ streams at a much higher bitrate than 1080p, with much less visible compression, but because you're viewing on a 1080 panel you don't see any of the extra resolution, it isolates the compression. It makes the difference between the grass looking like PS2 graphics to looking like PS5 graphics

I wanted to try this out because i loved racing all my life.. i dont regret it. I ended up getting a amazing set up second hand for cheap. Tgt2/loadcell pedals/ tha8 shifter /sf1000 wheel and next level racing track rig. This cost me 1k cad and i love it and even mt buddy who has a 12k rig actually was blown away how good it felt. If you want plug and play and enjoyable and something you feel u can compete with , look into this set up. Now i know 1k might be too much for some people but comparable to how people jump into 3-4-5-6 k for a set up this is amazing value. Hope this helps .
