@landocycle13 күн бұрын
@ anything under $500 is going to be limited in terms of battery size/power. There are some that’ll do around 25mph on a full charge, on flat ground, so second-hand is probably your best bet if you want inexpensive performance.

This is perfectly good 1st scooter. IF you can hold yourself. at peak this thing has more power than a slower 125cc bike Putting d3 and just throttle to the max = death - rider or someone not involved . But having on on D1 tamed to the 30%, with accell on 2 is super smooth, safe. BTW: Headlight is terrible, it's bright but it's to narrow. For night rights i would like to swap it out

Diggin' up an old vid but the S18 is at a great price now in Canada (or any wheels TBH)! Would you recommend getting a S18 end of 2024? What you thought of the pedals? Is/was your S18 the LG battery or the Molicel? Eevvee has it new for less than $2000. Not sure if you tried the Begode T4, would that be a better wheel for only $200 more (from Freemotion)? For context, I'm coming from a mTen mini, so you can run faster than that wheel...but I LOVE how portable it is and great as a hand-me-down. Great video btw, love how you scored it, perfect sound and that's hard to do!
@landocycle2 ай бұрын
Hey mate, thanks for watching this old video! It's hard for me to recommend it in 2024: I had a lot of fun with my S18, but it had questionable water-proofing and a tiny, 84V battery in comparison to the motor. I've lost a bit of faith in KS after owning the problem-riddled S22 and seeing the plethora of questionably designed KS wheels as of late. I have not tried the Molicel version, which I'm sure would be an upgrade - but the wheel itself still remains a bit of a question mark for me in 2024. It doesn't have the power to be a very good off-road wheel, yet it's main feature is the suspension. I don't know what you're looking for in a wheel, so I can't say for certain. The best bang-for-the-buck wheel right now IMO is a used OG Sherman (or SherMax) that has a well-balance pack with low km. I'm still rocking mine and although it's heavy, the form-factor is super small and you can pick them up for around $1,300-2,000 CAD. That's my 2-cents!
@fsjon2 ай бұрын
Hmmm...unfortunately used wheels are far and little to choose from where I'm at. Even a used S18 are asked for $1600. Maybe the selection might be better once spring comes around? I'm looking for portability to get it in and out of my car for the last mile. So size and weight is a HUGE factor. I planned on using it to get erring and maybe at the skate park (nothing crazy, just small jumps and flat land stuff). I saw a video of someone able to do a massive bunny hop on the T4, so why I might be interested in that.
@landocycle2 ай бұрын
@ if you’re urban, I’d take the V11 over the S18 any day. The suspension isn’t as good, but it’s a much more complete wheel IMO.
