I love your meat and potatoes reviews and equipment advice. A Sherman S is coming end of month from Eevees (used your referal) and I bought a motorcycle helmet to go along with it, based on your advice. Thanks for the no nonsense, clear, succinct info.

When you pull the map up and show the range that way..... Woah. These wheels are getting crazy... I've been deciding between the v13 and the Sherman s. I'm leaning towards the S, I like the design and the shock system seems better.

Hey, Nice Ride! I did a 109 km loop on mine on Vancouver Island. From Sidney into Esquimault, then inner harbour Victoria. Cruised the Dallas Rd scenic drive, then hit all the waterfront communities on the way back to Sidney. Sucks we didn't have a chance to get a ride in when you were here last

Enjoying the views! How many of the miles are doubling back to get the camera? 🤣 You didn't mention the suspension. Isn't that the whole reason for this wheel?

Well actually if you check any datasheet of li-ion battery (like Samsung 50E,50G, LG M50LT , etc...) you will find out that they are testing capacity and number of cycles from 4,2V to 2,5V. That means that even your low battery mode allows to discharge to 69,6V which is (69,6/24) 2,9V per cell. That is stil far from actual 0% of the battery and any risk of permanent damage of the battery cells.

These data sheets are from leperkim. 😅 Meaning hardly trustworthy. Well actually the real world test is more valid than a stack of data points collected by the creators of said product.

At low voltage is terrible voltage sag on high power draw, and it could damage battery cells, on low voltage even if they are not zero

what was average riding speed during all ride ? Only 113km is really dissappointing range for 3600 battery 👀👀 ..........., Monster 100v has 95km range on 1845wh battery.

Awesome video. I have a OG Sherman V3 and I've tried air pressures from 25 to 30 PSI with the stock knibby tire and I get tram lining. So tram lining is when you have a vertical Ridge like a dip or lines in the road like on a sidewalk that are parallel to your wheel and then they get sucked into it so it makes the wheel Dart into the dip. So I'm even when you're always carving it also still occurs. I don't really get this on my V10 which is a smaller and thinner tire. Do you get tram lining on your OG Sherman and on the Sherman S? Is there anything you can do to prevent it other than carving and changing tire pressure or changing the tire?
@landocycle

@@soupnazi81 I honestly don’t notice it at all, I keep mine around 28 psi. The mTen4 is really bad for it.

@@landocycle do you think going from an OG Sherman to a suspension wheel like a Sherman S would be a big difference in terms of stability and safety on typical Vancouver roads? (potholes, ruts, etc)
@landocycle
@landocycle 5 күн бұрын
@@soupnazi81 you can watch my review if you want, but I found the Sherman-S pretty cumbersome and top-heavy compared to the OG Sherman. I found the Patton a much nicer balanced wheel.

@@landocycle this is great to know. Thanks for info. Would you say suspension is a game changer?
@landocycle
@landocycle 5 күн бұрын
Although suspension significantly increases traction off-road and improves comfort on-road, it comes at the cost of added size and weight compared to a non-suspension wheel with similar specifications. The OG Sherman offers impressive speed and range in a compact size, but you'll need to sacrifice those qualities if you want a suspension wheel of the same size.

@@landocycle i did 68km on a old monster v3 2400wh with 2 of 5 bars of power left. 3 hours 20 min. Gravel tracks. Mostly cruzin. Some speeding. I wonder if i could get 100km out of my wheel if i ran it dead.

Weight of the motor and tire greatly impacts mileage. OG Sherman despite having less battery also has bit lighter motor. S22Pro has more massive motor with the same battery - i expect less mileage than OG S22 from it.

Big question, to buy new is the s worth the money over the max? Similar speed and range I guess it comes down to suspension vs weight… what do you personally think?
@landocycle
@landocycle Жыл бұрын
They both have very different personalities but I still prefer the lighter weight, better balanced OG Sherman for a daily commuter. S is nice build quality and suspension but top heavy, and just heavy.
