Can I fit a Strymon Ojai under the pedalboard?
@voodoolabofficial3 ай бұрын
Dingbat Tiny was designed to work with Voodoo Lab X Series power supplies, but it should have plenty of ground clearance below for a Strymon Ojai. If you do not already own a power supply and need more than 4 isolated outs, I would recommend considering the Voodoo Lab Pedal Power X8 (bit.ly/3MIJmTP). It is essentially the same price as the Ojai, but has 3 additional isolated outputs and features the quietest power supply design available. If you don't need more than 4 isolated outs, the Pedal Power X4, as shown in the video, shares the same design platform as the X8 and is available as a factory-installed power option with the Dingbat Tiny pedalboard.

1Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they may be saved. 2 For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. 3 For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God. 4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. 5 For Moses writes about the righteousness which is of the law, “The man who does those things shall live by them.” 6 But the righteousness of faith speaks in this way, “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’ ” (that is, to bring Christ down from above) 7 or, “ ‘Who will descend into the abyss?’ ” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). 8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Yeshua ישוע (Jesus) and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. 13 For “whoever calls on the name of the YHVH יהוה (LORD) shall be saved.” Romans 10:1-13

works for hx stomp?
@voodoolabofficial5 ай бұрын
HX Effects, HX Stomp, and Stomp XL require 900mA. You can combine two outs on the X4 using our HX Current Doubler cable (Part #PPHX) to power the Stomp. The adapter that is included with X4 supplies 1000mA, so you would only have roughly 100mA remaining to work with to power any other pedals. it would be recommended that you buy the Expander Kit version of the X4 that does not include an AC adapter (part# PPX4EK) and purchase our PS2120 AC adapter separately that supplies 2000mA. It ends up being only about $10 more to go that way and you get double the current supply in case you want to run any other DSP pedals from the remaining two outs.

@voodoolabofficial7 ай бұрын
As a pre-amp and overdrive, Giggity can be placed at the back end of the signal chain to act as an amp "front end", but can also work well in a more traditional overdrive placement at the front. Personally, I like it closer to the end with only tremolo, delay, and reverb placed behind it. There are no real rules here. ;)

If I buy this to power my quad cortex, did we get that "correct cable" ?
@voodoolabofficial7 ай бұрын
You will need one standard polarity DC cable with 2.1mm barrel plugs on both ends to power the Quad from an 3 Series X-LINK expansion port. The eight output Pedal Power 3 includes eight of these cables and the twelve output 3 PLUS includes twelve. If you will be using all of the included cables to power other pedals, you would need to purchase an additional DC cable to power the Quad. You can find these cables here: voodoolab.com/product-category/cables/standard2-1

Hello. Could you please tell me the exact model i need to power Quad Cortex and if i need more cables? Thank you
@voodoolabofficial8 ай бұрын
@manuelgonzalez9695 The Quad Cortex can be powered from either one* of the x-link outputs of a Pedal Power 3 or Pedal Power 3 Plus setup: To power the Quad Cortex use one of the all black (standard polarity) cables in one of the x-link outputs. *Due to the very high current draw of the Quad Cortex the second x-link output should be left empty.

is there a way you can wirelessly connect the Commander to the Hex? i'm just trying to find a minimalist approach in my rig.. I see you have the Hex, the pedals and the power supply in the rack.. and the Voodoo Lab Commander on the floor out front. I love this idea.. I'd put the Commander, a Wah and a Tuner on a small pedalboard out front.. that's all I'd need Thank you!
@voodoolabofficial8 ай бұрын
@EndyBendy As far as I can tell, there's no out-of-the-box solution. Even if you could find an appropriate wireless MIDI transmitter/receiver setup, you'd still need to somehow phantom power Commander via it's MIDI OUT jack (but that's where the wireless MIDI transmitter would normally be connected. Thus, some interface-box in between Commander and the transmitter would likely be required (to supply power to Commander). In summary... Not that it would be impossible but I expect, at a minimum, it would require a somewhat elaborate custom built solution.

The cortex is a 12vV 3A system how would a 1A power line work for the cortex?
@voodoolabofficial9 ай бұрын
1) The actual current draw of a Quad Cortex is 1.8A, not 3A. We have measured the current draw in the Lab and--more important--this spec was confirmed by Neural. 2) The total current delivery of the X-LINK is 2A and the 2 ports share that current. Labeling the outs "1A" for each port was the intent and is broadly accurate, but since the outs share the current, it is not an even split between the two. Bottom line is that X-LINK powers the Quad well. It has been thoroughly tested here at the Lab and in the field for over two years. The only thing we recommend when powering the Quad Cortex from X-LINK is that you leave the second X-LINK port unused and power any additional effects from the standard DC outputs.

@@voodoolabofficial Glad I've read this before I buy a power supply. So, powering QC with a single 12V X-LINK has no problem with performance and noise? Is it better that way than using both X-LINKs to make 12V 2A to power QC?
@voodoolabofficial7 ай бұрын
The X-LINK will power the Quad without added noise. Also, there is no need to combine the X-LINK ports. They are not isolated from each other and draw from the same current source. There is no need, let alone a benefit, to combine them when powering a Quad Cortex. Just a single standard polarity power cable following the instructions provided in this post. Thanks!

Is it possible to use the X-Link port to power a Friedman IR-X?
@voodoolabofficial11 ай бұрын
Just from reading the rear panel of the Friedman IR-X, the requirement is 9-12V DC 800mA, so X-LINK would be capable of powering that device using a standard polarity (center-negative) DC cable like a Voodoo Lab PPBAR, PPBAR-R, or PPBAR-RS. Please note, we have not tested that device specifically with X-LINK to give a full recommendation, but we would expect it to work very well.

Is it possible to use the X-link terminal to power KEMPER PROFILER PLAYER as well? The required value shown in the manual is 9-12VDC 24W. I'm sorry that it's not smooth because I'm using a translator.
@voodoolabofficial11 ай бұрын
At 12V and 24V, the Kemper Profiler Player will require about 2A of current. While it is possible that X-LINK could power this device, we have not tested it here like we did with the Quad Cortex. 2A would be pushing the limits of the X-LINK (2.1A max), so without testing here to verify, we cannot recommend powering the Kemper with X-LINK.

@@voodoolabofficial Thanks for the reply, I read on some forum that the x-link is unfiltered whatsoever and not recommended to use with the Surfybear. But I'm glad that you gave a green light. Great! Glad to hear. While X-LINK outs are not as heavily filtered as the 3 Series standard DC outs, they *are* filtered for noise. X-LINK will perform at least as well -- in most cases better -- than the wall wart adapter included with the effects device. While powering your Surfybear Reverb with one of the X-LINK ports, you will also be able to use the free expansion port to power an X Series expander if you ever need more isolated outs down the road. Any effects connected to the X Series expander would be isolated from your Surfybear Reverb.

I want to try this power supply but am wondering if anyone knows if this will power the Beat Buddy by singular sound along with some other 9v pedals in the chain of pedals without frying anything and without the buzzing sound.
@voodoolabofficial Жыл бұрын
Pedal Power X4 outs can deliver up to 500mA each and will power anything from lower current battery powered pedals to high current DSP effects. X4 will power the Beat Buddy, which draws 300mA at most. You will also be able to power other 9V effects with the remaining outs and X4 will definitely improve the sound and performance of your pedals. You can't damage lower current pedals by connecting them to high current outputs.
