My first bike was the 1975 Honda CB400F. Great bike to learn on and I rode it a long time. Passed it down to my younger brother and he still has it but it has not ran in more than 25 years. What a classic bike and a fine specimen in this video. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful bike. Glad you're treating it with love The closest I ever had to a classic was a Suzuki GS500 -93(or 94) Also you look like a mix between Hugh Jackman (Wolverine) and Kane Hodder (Jason Vorhees) Last entry was meant as a compliment! 🖖

The cam chain tensioner has a habit of sticking. That is when you loosen the nut it should go in to adjust the cam chain. Often nothing happens as it gets seized up. I found a light tap on the end of the adjuster usually frees it off.
@tkbikes1
@tkbikes1 7 күн бұрын
Ahh right ok thanks for that. I have pushed on it through the top nut and I can feel tension

I believe the valve springs only go one way, if you look at them they have a tighter coil on one end than the other. Check the other heads to see their right orientation or the Haynes manual might say how they are supposed to be installed. Other than that I am enjoying the videos 👍

Brake calliper was binding bad but not weeping, all sorted now with a new piston and completely cleaned out. I’ve had a go at the cam chai. And it seems ok thank god!
