Great workmanship.......totally agree that if you're not happy with something.......STOP! Think about it, diagnose the problem, fix it and only then, move on. Good practise.......it'll be worth every minute you spent on that build in the end.

yet another enjoyable upload Tim - coming along nicely. saw one of these in real life on Sunday - a bit small for me at 34in inside leg but still a lovely machine

Never lap a valve in with a drill they have to be lapped half a turn each way!

Oh well I’m not taking them out again and the suction stick wouldn’t stick so only option
