Be careful with this bitfunx. It has wrong cap values. Fake regulators and incorrect reset logic. I wonder if your machine is still working properly

Highly enjoyed your video a lot on this lazy sunday. Thank you for the upload man. Guess I am going to dust of my old desktop, and see if I can pull it of. Bought the classic back in 2020, new for 50 dollar, because the packaging was a bit damaged. Kind regards from the Netherlands

Those replacement PSUs work but they are electronically noisy and you may notice the red LED flickering as it struggles to keep the voltages at the proper level. You may also see random visual artifacts or static in the video because of this. Also, when you use these with an ODE, such as the X-Station, you'll notice they tend to randomly crash. It also has trouble with a Memcard PRO. I eventually gave up on mine and put the original PSU back into my the console because I prefer my X-Station be stable.. Yes, it puts out more heat, but it's been very stable in comparison

interestingly, I've found the exact opposite to be true, the OEM PSU generates a lot more noise and causes crashes (in addition to more heat!). Haven't had a single issue with the RePSX PSU I've put in a 5501.

Hey when launching with the downgraded version, it is Compiling PPU again, is there an option anywhere to disable pre-compilation when launching with the older rpcs3 version?

Right click on the game and select "Change Custom Configuration". Click on the advanced tab and there should be an option on the left hand side that says "PPU/SPU LLVM Precompilation". Uncheck that and you should be all good 👍🕹

hey did you change any other settings other than the multithreading for the i5 8700k build? ive got a 3070 i7 9600k, basically just a direct upgrade, and im having serious issues running the game even at 30 fps on 1080p and i cant for the life of me figure out why :(

U0grade the cpu and graphics card it wouldn't cost much. Stick a i5 or i7 in it

Funny enough, I tried that the other day. The games refused to load if I swapped out the i3 for my i7 4790k and the controls refused to function if I installed a graphics card. The games family software and games work ONLY on that specific hardware. I attempted running MAME on my own Windows SSD with the upgraded components and while that worked, the Sega Model 2 emulator for my other favourite shooter games refused to calibrate the light guns properly and player 2 was totally unfunctional despite following tutorials. Then when I loaded up MAME again, the controlls changed themselves around and after 5 hours of experimenting with different hardware and issues with setting things up, I've completely had enough 😅😫🎮🕹

All the games need to run perfectly at that price. It's all well and good to upcycle low spec or aging hardware but not if it isn't fit for purpose. Customers pay a premium for these prefab arcades because they want a retro experience that 'just works'. If I had bought this unit I would feel cheated because I would need to basically rebuild the machine to fix it and if I was prepared to do that I may as well have built the system from the ground up and made a superior system for less.

You forgot to mention that this mod is half external power. This means that you have to conecct a 12 volts power supply to your console.

The thing that screwed this game over was it’s obtuse means of login. You had to have a total of 3 accounts. Konami ID, Game ID and finally your actual PSN. Couple that with prolonged delays exploits over time and very bad admin maintenance and banning. With that said, MGO1 and MGO2 will still remain my fav online games.

Somebody should MOD Metal Gear Online 3 to create more flexibility, customization, and better features and then we would have the ultimate Metal Gear online experience. Because the controls and smoothness of gameplay in the Fox engine and MGS5 is absolute top tier. I am playing MGO 2 though and its been a blast on PC, first time ive played since 2008 when I was 18. I was so dissapointed at the state of MGO for MGS5 when I played that version.
