Thank you for showing me the difference between various systems. Most of the KZbinr channels only mentions "your performance may vary depending on your pc build" which only force most of us to guess how it would look like when using a pc build that is up to par to emulate PS3 games. Kudos.

Also for those that are curious about AMD vs NVIDIA, it seems that RPCS3 runs better with NVIDIA. My main gaming PC is from 2015 but it's still decent. i5 6600 @ 3.30GHz with 32GB RAM and R9 390x 6GB, I ran into a lot of issues playing Dead Space, frame rate was fine at around 60 fps 95% of the time but audio and story specific animations like Isaac's holograms where his team speaks to him, run at like 5fps while the game it running normally at 60fps, horrible out of sync. Demon's Souls was pretty bad too, averaging 30 to 50 fps, it could reach 60 fps but when it came to fights, it would drop to about 40-ish, and breaking boxes, barrels and other items would cause it to drop to 1-5 fps. I switched to another PC I have which I only use for racing games with my wheel setup, curious if NVIDIA made a difference and it did, like night and day. It's an i5 4460 @ 3.20GHz with 16 DDR3 RAM and GTX 1050Ti 4GB. Dead Space is no longer out of sync, sure the audio gets choppy and fps drop to about 45-ish fps during combat but it is very playable. Demon's Souls runs smoother, FPS is on average on the 50's, combat is not as laggy but frames still drop when breaking stuff, but now drops to like 5-17 fps. Despite the improvements, very demanding games like Gran Turismo 5, made it crash. It takes a while to render the cars, frames drops to the 10-20 ish. I experienced a freeze of 10 minutes, and after another 7 minutes of gameplay I experienced a crash. I also have a fitness game called Fit in Six, very low demand game, RPCS3 says In Game for compatibility so I was worried if it would work on the AMD video card PC, but no, it runs smooth as butter, constant 60 fps. Guess I need better hardware, but I do see the light, RPCS3 is awesome!! My old fat PS3 80gb model overheats and resets with very demanding games like Gran Turismo 6 and 5, old solder on the chip is cracked, apparently common problem with early PS3's. This is a nice work around so my 30+ ps3 games don't gather dust.

OMG BRO! I have to say Kudos on this video. This is the video that I have been waiting for somebody to make. I cant tell you how thankful I am for this video. I have been on the fence with RPCS3 for a while now. But, Seeing a Side by Side by Side Comparison really helps put things into a clearer context. Its Simple, If you want to enjoy the benefit of RPCS3 You need to Latest and Greatest Hardware almost like Running Real PC Games at 4K Ultra. The 7 Year old PC really put it into perspective. The CPU really needs to be a Fast Beefy One and you need a Powerful GPU if you plan on Upscaling to 1440p or 4K. I've been messing around with RPCS3 and I get so many Random Crashes in games and Crashes on the UI, Its frustrating! But, Its good to know that Simply Upgrading a Few Parts can add 2 to 3 times the Performance Im getting right now and possibly downloading a clean version of the Emulator will reduce the amount of random crashes I get. Again man, I really truly appreciate this video. RPCS3 should really reach out to you and use this video as promotion on their website to show the true experience of this emulator and how much CPU and GPU you really need to get the Full Experience.

This video deserves way more views man. Shout out to bang for buck. Its cool seeing the games ran at high level with the best of the best Hardware but again, I appreciate the comparison. Its such a Drastic Difference. It takes the Emulator from playable to Not even bootable. But the Emulator does still need a lot of work and as Technology grows and chips gets faster hopefully the RPCS3 Team can Improve the Emulator to give even more benefit to older chips as well.

You use a mclassic adapter on your ps3 it will upscale your games to 1440p and add in anti aliasing.

defenitely good to use but the fact is, since sony got more and more game to pc.... is it really usefull ? i wanted rpcs3 to play yakuza 4/5 but it got ported to PC and there are rumor about porting other exclusive like the last of us or even red dead

rpcs3 is not only for playing games, it’s for preservation

While Yakuza did get ported thanks to the rise in popularity, that won't mean all PS3 exclusives or games stuck in this generation will get ported at some point. There is always a group of people for niche games that no one has heard of that are grateful to be able to play a game in a more standard format

I wanna redo my comment cause Ik I could've said it better In general emulation gives us freedom of choice as well, even if games we want have already been remastered or ported. There can be major or minor problems when it comes to games getting ported to modern consoles like for instance Yakuza 3 Remastered's framerate issues which isn't present in the original PS3 version and still hasn't been properly patched as of now. Another example of an original title that's hell to port is Silent Hill 2 on the PS2 where the ports and remasters are inferior due to Konami losing the original code. There will always be some type of change in these ports no matter how small it may seem that people would call them inferior to the original. Realistically, the entire PS3 library won't be ported either due to licensing, original sales, or popularity. Niche games like Shadows of the Damned and Lollipop Chainsaw will most likely be stuck in it's own generation and their only salvation is through preservation and emulation.
