What's your favorite that you teased at the end of the video

Do you have a video on when a month is not matching up and categories are overspent how you attack that? Cause it sucks if you just wanna correct the budget that particular month (cause something came up), but not future months' budgets.

Thanks for the info! I’ve found the bucket very helpful. Another downside is when an envelopes are low, the system automatically pulls from the larger envelope. It says: We shifted some things. But if that is actually the envelope you wanted it to go to, you cannot now assign it since there not enough money there due to the auto-assigning!!! I end up transferring funds from savings just to officially assign the money and the try to transfer the remainder fund back to my savings. So confusing

I would like a video on savings goals instead of debt paying goals. I’m confused about the priority system. For example I have 3 goals: 1. Emergency savings (fully funded) 2. House down payment (50% funded) 3. Vacation I would like any surplus money I have to filter into these goals at the end of the month. If I have more expenses than income one month I want that money to be pulled out of one of my savings goals. If I set up a $1500 savings goal for house down payment and $200 for vacation, how will this work? Thanks

They currently raise their price of it I started since 2018 when I was 22 years old and grow it over time if i was more advanced about stocks back then I would have started investing to old brokers like fidelity. But I might as well stay with acorns for the long term and just stick with the 3 dollar subscription to be honest

Thanks for the video. Do you tag the sinking fund transfers in monarch money as “Transfers”?
@BrittanyFlammer8 күн бұрын
There are a couple of ways to handle this. I actually categorize them as an expense, but you could keep them as a transfer if you wanted.

I live in Utah and I would die to have that low of a mortgage payment! You’re so lucky 😭
@BrittanyFlammer8 күн бұрын
We are lucky. We put a huge amount down on our house because we wanted to keep our monthly mortgage under 25% of our take home pay. If we couldn't have done that we'd have bought a smaller house. But, this was our 2nd home and we had equity in our first. Being a first time home buyer now would be hard!

I don't personally use Monarch Money, just the spreadsheet. I have several clients who use Monarch, so I'm familiar with it and have filmed several videos about it.

for us, spending at Costco blends shopping and groceries, sometimes bleeds into home improvement or auto.. depending on what we bought. maybe Costco becomes its own category..
@BrittanyFlammer17 күн бұрын
That's a great way to handle Costco. I have several clients who have their own costco category in their budget. Personally, we mostly buy groceries and occasionally clothes there, so I just split the transactions when I need to. But if I was using it for all those categories that would make the most sense!

@BrittanyFlammer17 күн бұрын
I'm so glad you mentioned this. I've been using my account for a couple months now and didn't know about this. I just researched...as long as you have their debit card and have the $250 directly deposited into it you do get the fee waived. Thanks for sharing!
I just cut up my Gas Buddy card and deleted the app. I'm preparing for a 3,000 road trip & I forgot about the daily/weekly limits. I'm going to try the Love's & Pilot/Flying J apps. Also I have both SAMS & COSTCO. Paying , in general, more for fuel along the interstate those limitations rack up quickly.

Doing my 52 Weekly Challenge through SOFI Invest with my individual brokerage account. Only buying SFY ETF for this challenge. The total contribution for the year will be $1,378.00. Will see what the return will be. Planning on doing this each year. Just opened a ROTH and transferring some money in there. Starting to like SOFI more as my online bank and my second brokerage. Still will keep my local credit union as my main bank and also Fidelity as my main brokerage. Never know what will happen in 5 years with SOFI. Hope they continue to grow and improve. Thanks for all your videos!

@@BrittanyFlammer Very happy with SOFI being my online bank plus my 2nd investing platform. They really transfer funds really quick for me from my bank. My ROTH and individual account is doing well as I am doing a 52 Weekly Challenge in my individual and just purchasing each week some WMT stock in ROTH. See how this turns out by end of year. Have set up my vaults for my semi-annual real estate and personal property taxes due for December. Will start adding money in my Christmas Fund also.
