I've seen some fairly recent interviews with Richard. He lost this beautiful woman in his life way too soon. I've heard/read that she protected him from bullies when they were younger. Kinda like a "Big" lead sister.

To some this song brings joy and happiness and to others it only reminds them of the loved ones we've lost and can't celebrate the holidays with them anymore. I still love this song and it's among my favorite Christmas tunes but it's also one of the saddest songs I've ever heard.

@0:52 -- Demonstrates that the person behind the camera never heard the song. He was on Richard when Karen started singing. There is no excuse for that.
