I loved Karen Carpenters voice since I was a child. I watched her perform this on a Christmas special I think maybe it was Andy Williams. I loved Christmas nothing could take away the beauty I saw and heard . I miss that and I miss my family. The world turned out to be a lot different than my innocent mind saw it. But whose light shines bright in our memories even all these years later. Her beautiful contra alto vocals and depth of inflected emotion in her tone will never be topped, and it’s what makes this my favorite Christmas song of all time.
