There is 2 different firing orders one for a 302 , 5.0 and one for a 302 , 5.0 H.O. that is your problem if you would have changed the firing order for the H.O. IT WOULD HAVE RAN

So, it transitioned from needing a ton of work to skipping to later that night, and all of the work was done. I feel as if less of the beginning adventure was needed, and more of the wreching aspects should have been shown.

@mistermacgray I feel the same way, I was having battery issues and parts running issues which botched the rebuild. I'm still pretty new at this and trying to find my groove. Thanks for the constructive criticism, I appreciate a genuine look from outside sources.

I had the incredible opportunity to own one of the baddest cars of all time i obtained the car because my father had passed away. Never seen the car .Heard a few stories but too young to care so in 1984 my dad went out and purchased an 84G. TT tops 5 speed last year of the carburetor. After purchasing the car. He took the carburetor off and sent it to salen he purchased the car when I was born. Drove it for one summer and put it up in a barn of a good friend when he parked it in 85, it had 1700 miles on it. And then he left it alone. I just turned 12 years old in 1996. And I remember him saying I got this car.I want you to look at gj but again I paid it no mind unfortunately, my father passes away of a blood cloud at 39 years old. In a complete state of shock, my mother says George. We have to go pick your father's car up. Shall we go to this big old piece of property that I've never been before. There stood a huge old barn. We walked up and my mother and I pushed the barn doors open and here sets this 84G. T complete flawless condition still had the Ford motorsport papered mats on the Ford board in 1996. Show me my mother and my sister took off to start our new life. Back then you could get your license at 15. So the day I turned 15 I was given the car by my mother. She never drove the car hard. Never went over 2000 Rpm i remember my dad showing me how to shift growing up with dirt bikes and stuff i used to drive that car to the gas station. Get a chocolate milk and stare at the hot rods as a pass by not having any idea what kind of car I had these 40-year-old men would walk app to me phone at the mouth, asking me where I got the car from. And I would say my old man. One of them spoke up and said you wanna erase that thing? I was like hell. Yeah, so I followed this group of guys out to the woods where there's an old paved road. Quarter mile. Man came up with a flashlight stood in the middle. Count 2 3 and flash that light i was so nervous.I smoked first gear giving him a Lil lead he had an l.X. With the built five point o three seventy three gears and a stall converter it was that moment I knew what I wanted to do thank u dad!!! For giving me that opportunity the best years of my young life I raced so many different cars back than before they started vanishing away. You could get a five point 0 4 a thousand bucks back then that's my eleanor you never see an 84 I'd just about cry if I came across one man I miss that car!!!!

It’s an early 80’s there is nothing special about the motor at all. It’s the same engine in all fords that year. Car is not collectable and if it was in great shape wouldn’t crack 7k

The key to those 4.2 L, rip everything off the motor (the computer makes a good tire chalk….might not have one at its age) except for most of the intake, the exhaust manifold and the alternator and the water pump and then put an MSD ignition box on it slap an MSD distributor into it and put a Holly carb on the intake but take that heater unplug it knocked the fingers off of it and port match the exhaust manifold and the intake manifold and BOOM you got a torque demon on your hands that can’t be easily killed….but you’re also going to want a shift transmission and NOT THE PEUGEOT 🤪 yah in the YJ’s they had a Peugeot transmission. And the weber carburetter for it you may as well start dating a redhead at the same time because thing can’t get more screwed up

Surely I don't have to tell you, but just in case you weren't thinking, that original engine HAS to be with the car at the very least, and by all means it should be installed back in the car. No one in their right mind with a brain would remove an original engine out of an obviously limited production/ rare car or truck.
