When you mentioned obsession with productivity I literally burst into tears. The way you so gently and frankly put it, "a list of things you did is not an answer to 'How was your day?'" has stunned me. How HOW did you break this way of thinking? Mine goes all the way back to my childhood. I am the oldest daughter of EIGHT children. I raised half of my siblings by the time I was 13. I've never had the freedom to not be productive. Now I have 2 kids of my own and I feel like their childhood is flying by and I haven't has the chance to savor it. Does you have other videos sharing how you did it? I would desperately love to hear more. Praising God that he sent your channel to me sister.

OH man I see myself in this! Yes, I have a few more and am honestly making more and more touching on this because it's so relevant. Check out my burnout video and the one on getting rid of constant overstimulation.

Wow. Great advice! I too have noticed that when I was consuming too much media and my family asked for my attention I would get really annoyed. I have changed the amount of media I consume and things are much better. I see my family as my greatest blessing and joy, not an interruption. Great video!

Maybe your plants need minerals 😆 🪴 🙌🏼 Great content! I was in hurry mode as a stay at home mom, too. My youngest, of 3, is now 16. And why was I hurrying?? And we didn’t have hectic schedules either 🫤 lesson learned 🙌🏼

I have not been on social media for 10ish weeks… All I have is Facebook and Instagram. I don’t miss it! But I was also following good and positive people/pages. I didn’t even know the Olympics was going on until I got a text about it, and then I had to ask my husband where the Olympics were happening! 😆 you can go down a rabbit hole for sure. I still utilize KZbin a lot to learn different things. I’m interested in gardening, herbs, holistic health, cleaning/decluttering. But even if I click on the shorts I could be on that for almost an hour 😮 I only did that twice in the past 10 weeks. I feel great! I don’t have FOMO and if I didn’t need to know about it in real life and I don’t need to come across it on social media.

You are not using the word overstimulated correctly. There's a difference between having much stimulation (or digital stimulation as you say) and overstimulation. The latter is something a person experiences due to being autistic, having adhd or a type of sensory processing disorder and they cannot control it. It's not an environment to be lived in, it's an experience that is had under distress. I think this is a great video but please be more careful with your language

Pro tip: if you want something that helps for hair growth or eyelashes or even eyebrows castor oil is keyyyy and I think it only costs 2 dollars so that’s better than those really expensive serums

Wow. Yes yes yes! Thank you for this. I see an immediate difference when I delete the social media apps. I stop yelling, my body is less likely to jump into flight or flight mode over little things because my brain isn’t as super busy! I’m very easily overwhelmed and within a split second I snap because I feel like I’m drowning, over the smallest stuff!! I appreciate these tips. I believe they truly truly help and they do aid in living in the Lord and they are biblical/have biblical ties. Also loved seeing the Oxford park, we love that place.

I woke up one morning and had a feeling that I needed to declutter/unclog my home of stuff. I went through everything and donated so much from home decor to clothes. I simplified my skincare and hair car routine. No more hoarding of things I don’t need. It feels good honestly.

Stumbled across this. Watching it in my parked car. Bawling. I am no longer a young mom with small children-they are grown now. All 3 things you mentioned-t.v/social media as an escape, using it as downtime or to decompress has been luring me away from time with God and being in his Word and presence. The clutter in our home (mostly my husbands) has created an immense amount of stress and anxiety for me and lastly I also have lived a very long time thinking my busy-ness and constant on the run “doing things”, being productive defined my value and purpose. All these things have led me to feel overwhelmed and empty. I am struggling. I am going to sit and watch this again with my hubs and see if we can work together to make some of these actionable changes. I long for the beauty and peace that comes from simplicity. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for posting this. I will be sharing it with my friends. God Bless you-you ministered to a very deep place in my heart!!

This rings so true for me. I'm on information over load! Lots of people talk about getting off of social media, but barely anyone is talking about getting off KZbin. I love KZbin...too much! My brain is constantly processing new information and I never have the time to apply it. We need to discuss this more as a society. Great video!

Great suggestions of habits to change. For me, these habits are or were symptoms of unhealed trauma. Healing old trauma - which is healing the nervous system - leads me to have new better habits more naturally. Both work, working on the root causes and changing the habits/symptoms. Thank you for sharing.
