Would take a team of Orr’s over a team of Gretzky’s any day. Gretzky was Great but the one thing he was not was a 2 way player.

Great video. I still think Bobby Orr is the greatest athlete ever, not just hockey player. Probably the nicest and most humble athlete/ celebrity ever.

Two equal goaltenders. Five Orr versus five Gretzky. As A Bruins fan I know what side I’m on. Drop the Puck!

Bobby got robbed of probably 6 more years because of all the knee surgeries. To me he's the greatest player ever. I grew up in Cambridge, Ma during the orr years and it was just amazing to watch him on WSBK 38. Every game you never knew what he would do!

Bobby Orr was a rock star. He is the Michael Jordan of hockey. He completely changed how the game was played. He deserved every bit of this applause. Not only the greatest hockey player but the greatest and most humble of human beings. I get Gretzy was great too, he's the LeBron to Bobby's GOAT. Such a shame he was all done at 28 years old. Imagine a prime Bobby Orr? I feel blessed to have watched every game he played. This never gets old. Thanks for posting.

Not until later did i realize how lucky i was that we (while poor in the town of Lewiston Maine.) I was brought up by my mom ..As a single parent she gave every ounce of her being to us..We did have all to much, but we had cable lol..I was able to watch the Bruins during this time..I was 11 years old...I loved the Bruins, not realizing that Bobby would have shortened career do to bad knees...But wow!! He was the best!! Love you and this team forever..

When he played his last season for the Blackhawks, his knees wer so bad that his teammates had to carry him up the flight of stairs that led from the locker room to the rink. Guts and skill!

When The Flyers brought in Kate Smith to sing God Bless America at Game 6 of the 1974 Stanley Cup Finals against The Bruins, the first one to greet her after she finished was Bobby Orr. Pure class.

Bobby was soo humble and modest and very uncomfortable praising himself. Well, Bobby doesn't need to praise him, because millions of hockey fans will gladly do that for him.

Bobby Orr’s final full season was 1974-75 when he won his second scoring title and ended when he had just turned 27. Most players are just entering their prime at that point. He played 36 more games over the next 4 seasons where he scored 45 points.

When Bobby Orr retired, hockey was over for me as a fan. The game was still great as he'd helped to advance it to become the game it is today, but no one kept my interest like Orr. He was the "Babe Ruth" of hockey as he changed the game completely just as The Babe had done for baseball.

During the national anthem at the Boston Garden, Bird focused on the rafters. While many believed he was staring up into the heavens, he was fixated on one hanging banner, and it wasn’t a Celtics one. It was number 4 Bobby Orr!!!!
