No offense to The Great One,but Bobby Orr revolutionized not just the defensive style of play, but all around too in the NHL.

His love of the game of hockey is what allowed him to be so creative on the ice...I saw about 80% of Orr’s home games from the 1st balcony (AA)...I feel sorry for hockey fans who missed what this man did on the ice. It was tragic he had to retire so early at the hands of those who had to trip him up to stop him.

I can rarely watch a Bobby Orr tribute and not get teary-eyed. If there's ever been a greater athlete AND human being, I've yet to see him/her.

@3443bh Lots of truth...Orr ended up near penniless thanks to Eagleson...but thankfully, there is karma, and Eagleson got it good.

I've been lookin for this video for sooo long. I used to have this on vhs but have snce lost it. Cept the one i had was some kinda ceremony for him and they had him in the corner of the frame waching the video himself. DEFINATELY the best defenseman OF ALL TIME!! And i'm not just saying that cause i'm from Boston!!!

That, on my back, take my stick and just flick the puck to Bucyk behind my neck to score was absolutely ridiculous.

funny how pretty much every hockey highlight clip you see nowadays have some sort of heavy rock soundtrack... but this gentle music just fits cos of how elegant (and seemingly effortless) a player he was also funny for me, with a lot of bobby orr clips, at first i can't tell which end is which because he'll skate in both directions, going anywhere he wants on the ice, and no one can get near him
